  • THE FIRST, THE LAST by Bouli Lanner, producer: EAVE graduate Jacques-Henri Bronckart is shooting. The director will star alongside Albert Dupontel as they play two bounty hunters who have lost their way. This time his characters once again hit the road, and while they travel further away from their birth relatives, they recreate a kind of ragtag family with their fellow travellers or people they meet on their journey. This “contemporary western”, as the writer-director describes it, follows the journey of Gilou and Cochise, two bounty hunters in pursuit of mysterious fugitives. That is, of course, unless they are seeking something completely different. The film is co-produced by Prime Time in Flanders and ABDC in France, with backing from the CCA, Wallimage, the VAF, the CNC, the Centre region and MEDIA.

If you don't put your film on the internet, someone else will.

Video on demand is a current industry phenomenon;  it is growing by leaps and bounds.  More platforms, more buyers, more choices.

Audiences will pay for films if they are easy to find and priced to sell.  They will do it instead of searching for 'free' aka pirated access.

How do filmmakers move into digital distribution?  What are the challenges?  What are the rewards?
