Please note the final workshop dates: EAVE+ will take place during September 23-27, 2015 at the hotel Le Place D’Armes in Luxembourg.

A limited number of scholarships are available for participants from selected MEDIA countries.
Led by EAVE Head of Studies Jani Thiltges (Samsa Film, LU) keynote sessions by international guests will be mixed with group work sessions and 1-2-1 meetings.
Hengameh Panahi (Celluloid Dreams / Nightmares, FR) will be among the guest speakers. Management coach Michael Comyn (The Fearless Organisation, IE) will discuss issues of leadership and company management in individual coaching sessions with all participants. Further keynote speakers will be announced shortly.
EAVE+ is designed together with EAVE+ consultant Michael Weber (The Match Factory, DE).
Guest speakers of past editions included producer Stefan Arndt (X-Filme and X-Verleih, DE), financial manager Marc Bordure (Agat Films & Ex Nihilo, FR), managing director Pilar Benito (Morena Films, ES), digital distribution expert Andy Docherty (NL), producer Bo Ehrhardt (Nimbus, DK), producer Sigve Endresen (Motlys AS, NO), Head of the cinema department at the OBCNeuflize bank Anne Flamant (FR), distributors Eve Gabereau (Soda Pictures, UK) and Jean Labadie (Le Pacte, FR), as well as independent US producers Mike S. Ryan and Jay van Hoy.
Some voices from the previous editions:
« Exactly what we needed at exactly the right time in terms of some creative Blue Sky thinking about the direction of the company and its growth as we enter into our second decade in business. »
Triona Campbell, Beactive S.A., Portugal
« I thought it was a great four days and served as a real think tank for experienced producers to gain perspective on our changing world. »
Mike S. Ryan, Greyshack Films, USA
« The EAVE+ workshop was extremely useful on many levels - practical information on a range of subjects from promoting films on VoD platforms to how to work on one's resilience in stressful situations to raising private equity and managing those investor relationships. The networking element also really paid off in terms of finding a co-producer with access to a national fund in a country where one of my projects takes place, and that funding application is now underway.»
Natasha Dack, Tigerlily Films, UK
« It was hugely inspiring and interesting to look back and forward at our companies and the ever changing film environment in a greatly open atmosphere with an international group of colleague creative entrepreneurs. Priceless and inspiring to share thoughts and ideas, weakness and strengths about leading our companies and the ever changing film environment. »
Hanneke Niens, KeyFilm, The Netherlands
« It was the perfect moment for me and my partner to come to EAVE +, … (the) best moment to take a look… and see how it works for people with (the) same passion, but living and working in a completely different environment. »
Fernando Epstein, Mutante Cine, Uruguay
« The combination of people both participants and experts was magnificent and lead to a complete openness that I could not have imagined possible between a group of professionals at this stage of their careers. It was like an AA for producers, very painful but critical for our wellbeing. I am looking at everything since quite differently. »
Christine Alderson, Ipso Facto Films, UK
EAVE+ is organised twice a year in Luxembourg with different keynote speakers and topics addressed at each workshop session. EAVE+ is supported by the Creative Europe - MEDIA Programme of the EU and the Luxembourg Film Fund.

In order to get the start-up money for a profitable business, Marian sells his scooter to Petro, a construction worker. It is the bumpy beginning of an unlikely friendship, as the two men become business partners in search of a quick buck. EAVE producers shooting in Belgium, Turkey, Croatia and Venezuela
- L’ÉCONOMIE DU COUPLE by Joachim Lafosse, producer: EAVE graduate Jacques-Henri Bronckart started shooting. The film tells the story of the separation of Marie and Thierry, who break up after living together for ten years. She bought the apartment they live in with their children but he’s the one who completely renovated it. As Thierry can’t afford to find somewhere else to live, they are forced to remain living together. On the day of reckoning, each tries to hold on to what they think they contributed to during their life together. The film has received backing from RTBF, VOO, BeTV, Wallimage and the Tax Shelter, and an advance on receipts from CNC and Canal+.
- KEBAB ROYAL by EAVE graduates Jessica Woodworth & Peter Brosens, co-producer: EAVE graduate and group leader Diana Elbaum leads the King of Belgium on a Balkan odyssey with surreal undertones. While he is away on an economic mission in Istanbul, Nicolas II, the grumpy and solitary King of Belgium, learns of Flanders’ declaration of independence. At that same moment, a solar storm knocks out the communication networks and grounds all aeroplanes. And so begins the secret odyssey undertaken by the king and his ragtag learned assembly across the Balkans: a voyage full of misfortunes, revelations, a lot of roving and some truly charming moments. Love comes knocking at just the right moment, and the movie evolves into a kind of European fairy tale centred on the last King of Belgium lost in the Balkans. The shoot, which kicked off in Brussels, has already jetted off to Istanbul. The film has received backing from the VAF, Screen Flanders and the CCA.
- CHRIS THE SWISS by Anja Kofmel, producers: INTERCHANGE graduate Samir, co-producer: EAVE graduate Sinisa Juricic began production in Zagreb. The animated film is told from the director’s point of view and it focuses on a young Swiss journalist and her cousin, killed near Osijek in the early 1990s. Animated sequences intertwine with real, documentary scenes in which the director sheds light on the circumstances surrounding his death. The animation will take place at Nukleus’ premises in Zagreb in the following nine months. Chris the Swiss won the Golden Zagreb Award for best project in development at Animafest Zagreb 2013, and also a grant from Eurimages in 2014. The film is expected to be finished in March 2016 with the premiere scheduled for autumn 2016.
- EL INCA by Ignacio Castillo Cottin, producer: EAVE Marketing Workshop graduate Nathalie Sar-Shalom is in production. The tragic love story is based on the life of the great Venezuelan boxer Edwin "El Inca" Valero. The only fight he lost was the one against himself. The film has a local distributor and is going to be released in Venezuela in March 2016.
