Among others, EAVE CEO Kristina Trapp talks about EAVE's work towards Equity & Inclusion in the film industry. EAVE is one of the ambassadors of the EFM's Equity and Inclusion Pathways seminar.
Funded by Creative Europe Media and taking place yearly at the EFM 2023, 2024 and 2025, the Equity & Inclusion Pathways Seminar is an industry-wide consultation forum that brings together European decision-makers, advocacy groups, stakeholders and change-makers with the aim of shifting the needle regarding equity, inclusion and accessibility in terms of policymaking, strategy, measures and actions.
Featuring the Seminar’s 3 moderators (Nadia Denton, Yolanda Rother and Sailesh Naidu), one of the Ambassadors, Kristina Trapp (CEO of EAVE), the leadership of OMNI Inclusion Data, Helge Albers (MOIN Film Fund) and a speaker and representative of an advocacy group, Julian Carrington (REMC - Racial Equity Media Collective), this episode explores the mission, vision, objectives and challenges to implementing effective, long-lasting and sustainable DEI and accessibility policies at institutional level across the European screen industries.

EAVE is excited to announce the launch of the EAVE AI Skills Booster designed for audiovisual producers and interested film professionals. The cutting-edge 3-day online workshop aims to enhance your knowledge and practical skills around the role of AI in the audiovisual value chain.
When and where?
The workshop will take place over 3 half days from December 2 – 4 (14.30 - 18.00 CET every day) on Zoom*.
This comprehensive training, led by top-tier industry experts and academics, offers participants a 360-degree perspective on the latest AI tools used across script development, production, post-production, sales, marketing, and legal considerations. The programme will also address important legal and ethical aspects of AI integration.
*The workshop will not be recorded, so your participation during the workshop hours is required.
Only those participants who have paid their registration fee will be admitted to the Zoom.
Workshop Programme
The module is moderated and devised by PETRI KEMPPINEN of Good Hand Production, Finland.
Speakers:
- NUNO BERNARDO, CEO, Beactive Production, Portugal
EAVE graduate and Portuguese national coordinator Nuno Bernardo will give a general overview to available tools for presentation materials, streamlining pre-production and production process, VFX and post-production. He will also tackle ethical questions: how to maintain human creative control.
- KATRI MANNINEN, Screenwriter and PhD Student, Finland
Katri Manninen will focus on content creation through her personal talk on how a seasoned screenwriter develops concepts with the help of AI.
- JOANNA SZYMANSKA, CEO and producer at Shipsboy, Poland
Joanna Szymanska is actively exploring AI tools in film production, diving into how they can be applied at every stage of the process. In this workshop, she’ll share insights from her ongoing journey—what worked, what didn’t, and the key learnings for producers looking to ethically integrate AI into their workflow.
- ESPINAR GABRIEL, Creative Director, The Film Agency, Spain
Espinar Gabriel will focus on how to create images for pitch decks and pre-production materials, enhancing the marketing and visual presentation of audiovisual projects with AI tools.
- MACIEJ ZEMOJCIN, Virtual Production and AI in Films Specialist, Poland
Maciej Zemojcin has a vast experience in virtual production and technological film production aspects. He will talk about creation of realistic VP experiences and application of various AI driven tools. In his talk he will also touch upon the ethical and legal considerations in the use of AI.
- ELENA NEIRA, Professor and Researcher Specialised in Digital Distribution, Spain
Elena Neira will talk about AI-driven analytics that feed decisions about content development, marketing strategies, and audience targeting.
- KATRINE SCHIERBECK, The Law Factory, Denmark
What should we know about the legal approaches to AI on both sides of the ocean. EU AI Act, IP and Creative Rights, Deepfakes and Synthetic Media, Environmental Impact. What is the dilemma related to different approaches of Europe and US.
