Co-Pro Access 2026 Launched to Connect South Asian Projects with Co-Production Partners

ProducerLAND, Storiculture's flagship producer-first initiative, has launched Co-Pro Access 2026 in partnership with Tasveer — the only Oscar-qualifying South Asian film festival in the world — and Institut Français, the cultural and cooperation service of the French Embassy in India. The Producers Guild of India and EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) join as programme partners.

Co-Pro Access 2026 is a targeted accelerator for feature-length fiction and documentary projects in advanced development, designed to prepare them for co-production, financing, and partnership engagement. It is not an early-stage development lab.

Co-Pro Access runs across two phases. A virtual lab in the first week of July will offer each project tailored one-to-one mentorship alongside shared masterclasses across fiction and non-fiction tracks. Industry Days follow in the fourth week of July in Mumbai, designed as a conversion-focused platform : structured one-to-one meetings and decision-maker roundtables, with no passive audiences. Selected projects will also receive project grants.

The programme will select eight fiction and eight non-fiction projects.

Applications close end of May, 2026.

"We are thrilled for EAVE to be programme partners of Co-Pro Access 2026. Together with ProducerLAND, we share the common goal to nurture producers, and to create new industry standards and more inclusive and more empathetic production practices."  — Kristina Trapp, EAVE

About the Programme

Sessions are structured around four areas: co-production readiness and positioning; financing strategy and budget architecture; materials and pitch development.

The programme is open to producers with prior credits, attached to projects with completed feature-length screenplays. Applicants must submit a full shooting script (SWA registered or equivalent if out of India), director's statement, producer's vision, details of financing secured, a pitch deck with a clear ask, and a note of intention outlining the project's suitability for co-production.

Co-Pro Access builds on ProducerLAND's existing programme slate. The platform's recently concluded Creative Development Lab, in collaboration with The Writers Lab International  (USA), supported nine writer-producer teams in its first edition. In November 2025, a Transmedia Lab brought together nine participants and global mentors including Liam Young and Jeff Gomez.

Applications are open now at https://www.thestoriculturecompany.com/co-proaccesslab

Online, September 7-10, 2026

Based on the EAVE Impact Think Tank 2025 report, this hands-on workshop will give actionable strategies on how to make productions & co-productions more equitable, inclusive and transparent. Gain practical tools to build productions grounded in shared ownership, balanced power, and sustainable cross-border partnerships. Explore collaborative approaches to project design, inclusive budgeting, and fair contracting.

Through top-tier experts on development, production, post-production, and distribution, the workshop aims to give a comprehensive view on the best practices to adopt with real-life examples.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER: JUNE 17, 2026

When and where?

The workshop will take place over 4 half days from September 7th to 10th (14.30 - 18.00 CEST every day) on Zoom*.

*The workshop will not be available for replay, so your participation during the workshop hours is required. Only those participants who have paid their registration fee will be admitted to the Zoom.

For whom?

Whether you are an emerging producer or an established player in international coproductions, this workshop is designed to equip you with frameworks and tools to address inclusive production practices at the various production stages: from tackling power dynamics in contracting (e.g. between higher and lower capacity countries) to making sure all stakeholders in the story you are bringing to life have their voices heard.

“Producers can help reshape the global production landscape into a more just and representative space by centring on cultural authenticity, financial fairness, and ethical industry practices.”
— extract from the Conclusion of the 2025 EAVE Impact Think Tank report

Workshop Programme

The module is led and devised by EAVE expert Tamara Dawit of Gobez Media, Ethiopia & Canada.

Sessions

Positionality & Power in Producing

A self-reflective session exploring how identity, privilege, and social location shape the roles, relationships, and influence of producers and key creatives. Participants will map their own positionality in relation to their project and examine how to apply principles of equitable creative process.

Developing with an Inclusive Lens

This session centers the development phase as a critical site for embedding equity, care, and intentionality into the creative process — ensuring that the project vision and pathway to production are clear, transparent, and inclusive for all producers. Participants will explore how to shape their project vision using care-based development frameworks, including collaborative story design and consent-driven research, to create a roadmap that guides the project from concept to production.

Inclusive Financing & Budgeting

This session introduces inclusive budgeting tools and financing strategies that promote equity across the production lifecycle. Topics include fair compensation, and practical tips for building budgets that reflect shared ownership, transparent practices, and community benefit. The session also addresses how to navigate currency imbalances in international coproductions.

Inclusive Co-Productions

This session explores how to build co-productions that uphold creative equity, financial fairness, and shared IP ownership and revenue participation — particularly when working across regions or countries with differing resources or systemic advantages. Participants will examine strategies for negotiating fair terms, drafting inclusive contracts, and navigating legal frameworks that support respectful collaboration, transparency, and long-term sustainability. Emphasis is placed on building co-productions as equitable partnerships, not just financing arrangements.

Inclusive Production Practices

This session offers practical tips for managing productions across diverse cultural and geographic contexts. It covers inclusive hiring, cross-cultural crew coordination, and ethical casting. Participants will explore safer set protocols, power-sharing approaches, culturally sensitive scheduling and inclusive catering practices. The session also addresses production and post-production workflows that prioritise access, consent, and psychological safety.

Accessibility in Production

Dedicated to creating accessible production environments. Includes planning for physical, sensory, cognitive, and communication accessibility across locations, documents, workflows, and on-set practices.

Equity in Distribution & Audience Engagement

This session explores how to design distribution strategies that center equity, access, and cultural relevance. Participants will examine festival and grassroots pathways, language justice, and co-created rollout plans while addressing how to share distribution rights, territories, and revenue ethically across coproducing partners. Emphasis is placed on avoiding extractive models, engaging communities as partners, and ensuring that marketing, access, and target audiences reflect the values and contributions of all collaborators.

Fees and Deadlines

  • Registration Deadline: June 17th
  • Registration Fee: 400 EUR

How to Register

Register Now by June 17th through the registration form and take part in this workshop!

A limited number of scholarships are available specifically for selected BIPOC participants and for participants from low production capacity countries (priority to LCC group B countries as defined by Creative Europe/Media) or countries with no existing support mechanisms.

Don't miss the chance to embed equitable and inclusive practices at the heart of your projects under the guidance of leading experts in the field.

The Nomadic Film Space - conceived by Yetu (Un)limited

The African & Diasporic Audience Development Think Tank - A Cannes Marché du Film Session - May 15 – 10:00–12:00 (Hotel Canopy)

The African & Diasporic Audience Development Think Tank was initiated in 2025 by Yetu (Un)limited ; its pilot edition was held in Salvador, brazil, in partnership with the mostra de cinemas africanos, generating case studies, qualitative audience design frameworks, and the first edition of an ongoing publication. This cannes 2026 session is the second iteration of its traveling workshop. The think tank combines market research with the development of endogenous audience design methodologies — moving beyond reporting toward the co-creation of tools, templates, and a support mechanism dedicated to growing revenue-generating audiences for African cinema. the cannes session will showcase the brazil pilot findings and set the strategic framework for the future of this innovative platform.

Yetu (Un)limited is a collaboration between African producers (EAVE graduates Melissa Adeyemo, Yanis Gaye, Carol Kioko, Creative Producer Indaba graduate Chloé Ortolé) who met at the EAVE Producers Workshop 2023.
