TIES THAT BIND 2024:

Who should apply

10 Asian & European producers with projects and 5 other European film professionals or producers without project

Target Group:

* Experienced feature film producers from Asia (Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia) and Europe (European Union and the countries that are eligible to apply for training under the MEDIA SUB-programme) wishing to work on an international scale and to create long term creative and business relationships between Europe and Asia.

Interested producers should apply with a feature film project in development stage. European projects should have a strong co-production or co-financing potential with Asia.

Project criteria:

  • feature-length fiction film (for theatrical release) with strong potential to find co-producers and/or attract Asian private financiers. We are open to any genre and type of project (from arthouse to commercial projects) and we also accept TV series and animation fiction films.
  • preferably a minimum of 20% should be in place
  • applicants must be the lead producer of the submitted project
  • producer must have completed at least one film released in the last 3 years (theatrically, TV, DVD, VOD)
  • 1st draft of the script must be available in English for the first workshop by September 28, 2024.

* European film professionals interested in working with Asia such as sales agents, distributors, festival and market representatives, financiers, or European producers who wish to focus on their career development.

Career participants will be an active part of the group and will have an opportunity to partner with project participants, in order to benefit from all aspects of the programme.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
