European Producers Workshop 2010:

European Producers Workshop 3, 2010

18 - 25 October 2010, Belgrade

The EAVE 2010 European Producers Workshop came to a close with its third and last workshop held in Belgrade, Serbia (October 18-25), organised in partnership with Miroslav Mogorovic and company Art & Popcorn and supported by the Serbian Ministry of Culture, Serbian Film Commission, and Serbian Film Centre.

During this final workshop, the 50 participants from 28 European countries had the opportunity to meet some 65 high-profile European professionals from the industry in over 750 pre-scheduled one-to-one encounters and numerous informal meetings in order to pitch the 30 projects that were developed during this year’s EAVE training cycle. (*Please find the complete list of Decision Makers here).

EAVE has the pleasure to announce that this workshop ended with some very positive and concrete results for the 2010 graduates and their projects.

Among the hit projects that aroused everyone’s attention were for example the documentaries THE INVISIBLE MEN (producer: Yariv Mozer), FREEMEN (producer: Signe Byrge Sørensen), VAGABOND PRINCESS (producer: Janja Krajl) FIRST PERSON SHOOTER (producer: Gavin Humphries), LOST BOMBER (producer: Nataša Petrovic) and ANGEL (producer: Monica Hellström). Among the features, projects such as THE LIAR (producer: Tony Hagger), HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MUMMY (producer: Charlotte Most), THE SKY ABOVE US (producer: Sander Verdonk) and LITTLE ANGELS (producer: Essi Haukkamaa), were highlighted by the attending decision makers.

Several EAVE projects were picked up for upcoming co-production markets: EAVE project EGGG by producer Kristin Ulseth (Norway) was selected for Baltic Event. EAVE project WOLF by producer Marcian Lazar (Romania) was chosen for the Arc 1950 Coproduction Village in Les Arcs. CRULIC – THE PATH TO BEYOND (producer: Anca Damian) was picked up for CPH:DOX. Congratulations!

And as EAVE is also the ideal platform for networking, several projects found co-producers amongst EAVE colleagues, for example THE INVISISIBLE MEN (co-producer: Carine Ruszniewski), FREEMEN (co-producer: Benoît Roland), LOST BOMBER (producer: Nataša Petrovic, co-producer: Céline Maugis), FOUR SEASONS (producer: In-Soo Radstake, co-producer: Gian-Piero Ringel) and BILLIARD IN DOBRAY (producer: Ida Weiss, co-producer: Yariv Mozer).

EAVE wishes all the 2010 graduates good luck for their future and thanks all the attending decision makers, experts and the pedagogical team for sharing their expertise and experience with the participants.

We also want to express our special gratitude to Miroslav Mogorovic and team, for his great contribution in successfully running the workshop.
