EAVE Producers Workshop 2026 Hosts International Film Industry Events in Luxembourg

press release

As part of the EAVE Producers Workshop 2026, EAVE welcomed 97 film industry professionals from around 40 countries to Luxembourg for the first session of its year-long training programme, taking place from 6 to 13 March alongside the Luxembourg City Film Festival.

Supported by Creative Europe and Film Fund Luxembourg, EAVE continues to play a key role in upskilling, training and connecting producers and audiovisual professionals from across the globe while reinforcing Luxembourg’s position as an active partner in international co-production.

On 7 March, two dedicated events created opportunities for exchange between workshop participants and the wider film community.

In the afternoon, the public conference “Rethinking Festival and Release Strategies: Adapting Film Releases to a Changing Ecosystem” took place at Cercle Cité. The discussion explored how filmmakers, producers, sales agents and festival representatives can respond to shifting models of film circulation, from premiere strategies to long-term audience visibility. Among the speakers were EAVE graduates Didar Domehri (Maneki Films, France) and Vincent Quenault (Red Lion, Luxembourg).

Later that evening, professionals from across the European audiovisual sector gathered at Mudam Luxembourg for the Mix and Match Evening, an informal event designed to encourage dialogue between EAVE producers, international sales companies, festival representatives and industry guests of the Luxembourg City Film Festival. The gathering offered a relaxed setting for conversations, new contacts and potential future collaborations.

The events have been organised in partnership with the Luxembourg City Film Festival, in collaboration with the Centre National de l’Audiovisuel, and with the valued support of the Film Fund Luxembourg and Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Luxembourg.

EAVE is also proudly supported by the national initiative Luxembourg – Let’s Make It Happen, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, highlighting the country’s commitment to creativity, openness and international cooperation in the audiovisual sector.

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
