FOCUS ASIA (April 27-29, 2026) is a unique boutique market within the international co-production landscape, serving as the only initiative exclusively designed for film professionals, decision-makers, and buyers from Asia and Europe. 

Taking place within the Far East Film Festival in Udine, the largest European festival entirely dedicated to popular Asian cinema, FOCUS ASIA aims to establish long-term connections between the Asian film industry and the European audiovisual sector. The event creates opportunities for producers and films to access both Asian and European markets while fostering new artistic and production collaborations.

The programme features a series of complementary initiatives designed to identify alternative investment opportunities (including private investors and equity funds), launch new co-production opportunities, and promote the distribution of films and cultural identity across both areas.

FOCUS ASIA presents a rich industry lineup featuring:

  • All Genres Project Market – A dedicated platform for high-quality feature films in development with strong co-production or co-financing potential between Europe and Asia.

  • Far East in Progress – The first and only European works-in-progress section entirely focused on Asian films in post-production, seeking international distribution and festival premieres.

  • Distribution Lab – Organized in partnership with Europa Distribution, this exclusive lab brings together over 20 distributors from 15+ countries to exchange expertise and explore strategies for international film distribution.

  • Sales Lab – Organized in collaboration with European Film Promotion, this lab offers European sales agents direct access to Asian buyers and insights into sales strategies tailored to the region’s highly fragmented market.

  • EAVE Ties That Bind – A high-level workshop that connects Asian and European film professionals, offering project development support and mentorship from top industry experts.

  • Alongside these core initiatives, FOCUS ASIA also offers an extensive programme of lectures, case studies, one-on-one meetings, and networking activities, providing an unparalleled opportunity for Asian and European professionals to build meaningful and lasting industry connections.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
