EAVE 2026 Welcomes an International Delegation of Film Professionals during the Luxembourg City Film Festival

press release

EAVE, Europe’s leading producer training organisation, is proud to kick off its prestigious year-long training programme: the EAVE Producers Workshop 2026 in Luxembourg, welcoming an exceptional international delegation of film professionals from across the globe.

For nearly four decades, EAVE has been at the forefront of professional training for international film producers. EAVE, based in Luxembourg and supported by the Film Fund Luxembourg and Creative Europe, hosts every year several of its core workshops in Luxembourg, such as the Producers Workshop, the Marketing Workshop and EAVE+.

"In 2025 alone, EAVE brought 254 industry professionals from 56 countries to Luxembourg, and 39 international co-productions have been released by Luxembourg-based EAVE producers - this is a powerful testament to Luxembourg’s dynamic role in the global audiovisual sector, to which EAVE is proud to contribute!" - says EAVE CEO Kristina Trapp.

The first week of the EAVE Producers Workshop 2026 (March 6 – 13) takes place during the Luxembourg City Film Festival (March 5 – 15), the Grand Duchy’s largest annual film event. EAVE brings 97 film professionals from around 40 different countries to Luxembourg to exchange and network with Luxembourgish industry professionals and to promote Luxembourg as co-production partner and film location standing for creativity, diversity and sustainability!

Building on the synergies between the festival and the workshop, a special event has been organised in partnership with the Luxembourg City Film Festival, in collaboration with the Centre National de l’Audiovisuel, and with the valued support of the Film Fund Luxembourg and Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Luxembourg.

RETHINKING FESTIVAL AND RELEASE STRATEGIES: ADAPTING FILM RELEASES TO A CHANGING ECOSYSTEM (Cercle Cité, March 7th, 14:00) – conference open to the public with registration

Among the speakers:

  • EAVE graduate and group leader Didar Domehri (MANEKI FILMS, France)
  • EAVE graduate Vincent Quenault (Red Lion, Luxembourg)

In a rapidly changing film landscape, traditional strategies for premiering and distributing films are now being called into question. This conference brings together filmmakers, producers, international sales agents (Europa International) and festival representatives for an open dialogue on how to rethink festival positioning, premiere selection, market exposure and long-term visibility.

MIX AND MATCH EVENING (MUDAM, March 7th, 18:30) – private event on invitation only

Conceived as a convivial gathering at the heart of the European film ecosystem, this event will bring together members of European Film Festivals, Europa International, representatives of the national stage, as well as participants and experts of the 2026 EAVE Producers Workshop, around a simple yet essential objective: building professional connections.

Designed as an informal and stimulating moment of exchange, this initiative aims to foster synergies between festivals, international sales professionals, producers and project leaders. In a context where European cooperation is more strategic than ever, it will provide a welcoming space for meaningful encounters, cross-sector conversations and the emergence of future collaborations.

Both useful and warm in spirit, this gathering will celebrate the power of networks, collective intelligence and the pleasure of coming together to shape the future of European cinema.

EAVE is delighted to promote the values and faces of Luxembourg by adopting the signature of LuXembourg - Let’s Make It Happen, an initiative that celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Happy Anniversary, LuXembourg – Let's Make It Happen!
