5 films by EAVE producers nominated for the Premios Platino

The Council of Europe’s Eurimages Fund has joined forces with the Istanbul Film Festival to present the first edition of the Audentia Award for Best Female Director, during the 35th edition of the festival. With it, Eurimages intends to celebrate women who have had the courage to be filmmakers, by giving their work greater visibility and inspiring other women to follow in their footsteps. Fifteen films have been pre-selected from across all categories and all films by female directors to compete for the first edition of the prize. Among them are:
- ALL OF A SUDDEN by Asli Özge, co-producer: EAVE graduate Laurette Schillings
- EAVE project DUST CLOTH by Ahu Öztürk, producer: EAVE graduate Nesra Gürbüz
- MOTHERLAND by Senem Tüzen, producer: EAVE graduate Olena Yershova
- THE MAGIC MOUNTAIN, directed and produced by EAVE graduate Anca Damian, co-producers: EAVE graduate Benedicte Thomas and EAVE graduate Guillaume de Seille
- Interchange project 3000 NIGHTS by Mai Masri, producer: EAVE graduate Tunje Berns
- WHITE PEOPLE by Lisa Aschan, producer: EAVE graduate Anna-Maria Kantarius
The Oscars of Latin American Cinema, the Premios Platino, has nominated the contenders for its second edition. Among them are:
- AUSENCIA by Chico Teixeira, producer: EAVE graduate Paula Cosenza
- LA MEMORIA DEL AGUA by Matías Bize, co-producer: EAVE graduate Nicole Gerhards
- LAND AND SHADE (LA TIERRA Y LA SOMBRA) by César Augusto Acevedo, producer: PUENTES graduate Diana Bustamante, co-producer: EAVE graduate Laurette Schillings
- MAGALLANES by Salvador Solar producer: PUENTES graduate Enid Campos
- MI AMIGA DEL PARQUE by Ana Katz producer: EAVE graduate Agustina Chiarino
- KOZA (GOAT) by Ivan Ostrochovsky, producer: EAVE graduate Jiri Konecny has been nominated for Best Feature Film at Sun in a Net. The film has also been nominated in the categories Best Directing, Best Script, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design, and Best Actor. The Sun in a Net awards, which are the Slovak equivalent of the Oscars, is a bi-annual event organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA).
