WATCH NOW: Inclusive Co-Production in Action - EAVE Think Tank report and panel discussion in Cannes

press release

We are thrilled to share the 2025 EAVE IMPACT Think Tank Report on Inclusive Co-Production Practices, a bold new framework to transform international co-production models through equity, transparency, and narrative sovereignty.

The report was launched at a special panel discussion during this year’s Marché du Film – Co-Production Day with

  • Emile Hertling Péronard (Ánorâk Film, Denmark & Greenland)
  • Jennifer Sabbah-Immagine (BIG SISTER & JSI Consultant, FR)
  • Myriam Sassine (La Niña Cinema, France & Lebanon)
  • Daniela Mujica (Productions Ocho, Canada)

The session was moderated by Tamara Dawit (Gobez Media, Canada, Ethiopia).

You can watch the panel discussion about the report here, which was recorded during the Marché du Film, impACT x Co-Production Day:

Developed through a global, multi-stakeholder think tank facilitated by EAVE in partnership with When East Meets West (WEMW) and supported by the Canada Media Fund (CMF), Telefilm Canada, and the International Emerging Film Talent Association (IEFTA), the report responds to an urgent need to address systemic barriers in the global co-production ecosystem.

As international collaboration becomes more critical to financing screen content, the need for inclusive co-production models that reflect a plurality of voices has never been greater.

The report outlines concrete areas of work for producers across all stages of content creation, offering practical tools and strategies to build more ethical and inclusive co-productions:

This initiative builds on EAVE’s long-term commitment to advancing inclusion and sectoral transformation. The Canada Media Fund, a key partner in this effort, continues to champion inclusive practices and this necessary global dialogue.

We look forward to hearing your feedback and learning how this report influences your approach to co-productions!
