PUENTES consists of two workshops, workshop 1 taking place in Buenos Aires (Argentina) between April 7-11, 2011 within the framework of the BAFICI (Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente) and workshop 2 being organized in Gijon (Spain) in November during the Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijon (TBC).
Target group: Experienced feature film producers in their own countries wishing to work on an international scale and to create long term creative and business relationships between Europe and Latin America. EAVE TIES THAT BIND Asia-Europe Producers Workshop

After a successful closure of TIES THAT BIND 2010 at the Pusan International Film Festival, we are delighted to announce that the renowned EAVE workshop for Asian and European feature film producers will be reconducted in 2011.
A variety of results have already come out of the programme that was created in 2009 thanks to the initiative of the FVG Film Commission – Audiovisual Regional Fund and the Udine Fareast Film Festival and has expanded in 2010 thanks to the partnership of the Pusan International Film Festival / Pusan Promotion Plan and the support of MEDIA International: 2 co-productions between Asia and Europe have already resulted from the first edition and Singaporean TIES THAT BIND project ENDLESS DAYS is currently in postproduction. HOSPITALITÉ by Koji Fukada, produced by Japanese TIES THAT BIND graduate Kiki Sugino won the Best Picture Award of the section Japanese Eye at the Tokyo International Film Festival and SANDCASTLE, produced by TIES THAT BIND graduate Fran Borgia was selected for the 2010 Critics’ Week in Cannes.
Ties That Bind 2011 will consist of two workshops, workshop 1 taking place in Udine (Italy) between May 3-7, 2011 within the framework of the Udine Far East Film Festival (April 29 – May 7, 2011) and workshop 2 being organized from October 10-13, 2011 during the Pusan International Film Festival (October 6-14, 2011) in South Korea.
The workshops will bring together 10 film producers from Asian and European countries. Each producer will be selected together with a feature film project in development and will work with leading industry experts from both continents during the two workshops. Amongst a range of issues, sessions will focus on script development, co-production between Asia and Europe, financing in the two regions, marketing and promotion, and the legal aspects of co-production. The programme will culminate in Pusan in October 2011 with meetings between the participants and leading Asian and European funders and sales agents. Stay tuned for the call for proposals, to be published soon on http://www.eave.org/
