LUCIFER directed by Gust Van den Berghe and produced by EAVE graduate Tomas Leyers, is the third instalment in Gust Van den Berghe’s triptych about the emergence of human consciousness after LITTLE BABY JESUS OF FLANDR and BLUE BIRD. The film is an adaptation from the theatre play by Dutch author Joost Van den Vondel, which tells the story of the rebel angel Lucifer.
The project was developed at PUENTES in 2012 by producer Tomas Leyers: " We are thrilled to receive this great recognition for an exceptional project like Lucifer. It has been a wild ride since we presented this third feature film by Gust Van den Berghe at the Puentes in 2012. It’s wonderful to see a film finding its way to its dedicated audience."
