Pitcher Perfect training course by the European Women`s Audiovisual Network
Call for applications
Dear EAVE producers,
Pitcher Perfect is a training course organised by the European Women's Audiovisual Network, which will be hosted in Barcelona from October 25-27, aimed at producers and directors with a project but who need that extra bit of confidence/skill in pitching their project and who would like to bring it to the attention of industry experts and other producers.
The course tutor, Jan Miller, is a highly experienced, internationally recognised pitching trainer who has won countless awards for her commitment to women in the industry and to developing the perfect pitch. This actual course has been devised after lengthy consultations with industry experts from many film funds, training courses and festivals and aims to provide the perfect nurturing environment for participants to benefit as much as possible from those hosting and teaching at the event.
For EWA members there is a 10% discount on the full participation fee of €330 (you can sign up to EWA as a member now if you wish - www.ewawomen.com) and the course is open to men and women - full course details and the application form are attached.
SPECIAL FOR EAVE PRODUCERS: EWA will offer a 10% discount also to EAVE producers applying to this training course
In addition to the 3-day pitching component there will also be in-depth presentations on co-productions and on the final day, pitches will be analysed and observed by a number of industry experts who will give their feedback, including Fabien Westerhoff, Hanway Films, Gavin Humphries - the award-winning producer of "The real social network" and "The Curse", which won Director's Fortnight in Cannes 2012, Josephine Rose, UK, Emily Mann and the multiple award-winning Turkish producer Zeynep Ozbatur - as well as other experts, including Alessia Sonaglioni from Eurimages and more.
If you are interested in signing up or if you would like to recommend the course to a producer or director who would really benefit from developing this skillset please fill in the application form and send it to us at: contact@ewawomen.com
