Help

Ukraine: Message from Polish Producers Alliance & call to the EAVE network in other EU countries

.

Dear Friends,

Polish film industry is stepping up to help our friends and colleagues from Ukraine, who are fleeing from the warzone or staying in the country to join the current military activities.

Here is what you can do to help:

  • YOU CAN SHARE THE RELIABLE AND CHECKED INFORMATION:

Here is a webpage that offers information on how to reach Poland from Ukraine and what kind of help is offered at the entrance to Polish territory https://ukraina.grupagranica.pl

Polish Producers Alliance (KIPA) engaged the services of LSW law firm http://www.lsw.com.pl/pl/ , which is providing free assistance to filmmakers from Ukraine in formal matters and to Polish producers in matters of cooperation with Ukrainian citizens. The law firm will also prepare on its website a guide for Ukrainian citizens on all matters relating to their stay in Poland.

  • YOU CAN PROVIDE HUMANITARIAN HELP BY OFFERING JOBS AND ACCOMMODATION TO UKRAINIAN REFUGEES:

Polish Producers Alliance (KIPA) will be operating two email addresses where you can offer work or accommodation for Ukrainian refugees:

noclegidlaukrainy@kipa.pl – for accommodation

pracadlaukrainy@kipa.pl – for work

The Polish Film Academy launched e-mail pomoc@pnf.pl, where it collects information on the help sought by Ukrainian filmmakers and their families. You can also offer your help there. There is a number of Ukrainian filmmakers who stayed to cover the war and to provide the world with reliable footage and media coverage of the conflict. You can help them out by sending equipment, disks etc. Contact Polish Film Academy for more details.

EAVE CALL FOR SUPPORT: Please share with us any information you have on initiatives how to help Ukrainian filmmakers with concrete actions in your countries so that we can spread the information so that everyone can join active support measures.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
