LA FABRIQUE CINÉMA 2023 invites EAVE Producers to meet the projects

Dear EAVE graduates,

EAVE is delighted to continue the successful partnership with La Fabrique Cinéma de l’Institut Français in Cannes.

La Fabrique Cinéma de l’Institut français is a program designed to identify and promote filmmakers and producers from developing countries. The program offers a tailor-made support to accompany debut or second film projects, along with a number of professional partners.

The Tunisian producer Dora Bouchoucha is the patron of the 2023 edition.

EAVE organizes a special networking event at La Fabrique during Cannes Film Festival, which consists of one-on-one meetings with the projects selected for La Fabrique. 

EAVE producers will be invited to meet the international delegation of project representatives from emerging countries outside Europe.

The one-to-one meetings will be organized on the following slots at Cinémas du Monde pavilion (n°107)

• Monday May 22^nd : 10am-1pm / 2pm-3:30pm
• Tuesday May 23^rd: 10am-1pm / 2pm-5:30pm
• Wednesday May 24^th: 10am-1pm

The ten projects selected are:

NIGERIA – Galatians by Michael Omonua, produced by Abba T. Makama (Polka Dot Films) / 2nd feature film

SENEGAL – Fagadaga by Yoro Mbaye, produced by Creative Producer Indaba graduate Souleymane Kebe (Astou Productions) / 1st feature film

TUNISIA – Leïla’s Trial by Charlie Kouka, produced by Cyrine Sellami (Nomadis Images), co-producer: EAVE graduate Caroline Nataf  / 1st feature film

LEBANON – EAVE project Pigeon Wars by Dania Bdeir, produced by Interchange graduate Pierre Sarraf (Né à Beyrouth Films), EAVE graduate Sahar Yousefi / 1st feature film

EGYPT – Moonblind by Nada Riyadh, produced by EAVE graduate Ayman El Amir (Felucca Films) / 2nd feature film

ARGENTINA – The Days Off by Lucila Mariani, produced by Paula Zyngierman (MaravillaCine) / 1st feature film

CHILE – Erratics by Thomas Woodroffe, produced by Rodrigo Díaz (Fiebre) / 1st feature film

COSTA RICA – Awaiting Birds by Sofía Quirós Ubeda, produced by PUENTES graduate Mariana Murillo Quesada (Sputnik Films) / 2nd feature film

INDIA – The Sacrifice by Ridham Janve, produced by Kartikeya Naravan Singh (The Film Cafe) / 2nd feature film

PHILIPPINES – Ria by Arvin Belarmino, produced by Kristine De Leon (MUD Studios), co-producers: EAVE and TTB graduate Alemberg Ang, TTB graduate Isabelle Glachant / 1st feature film
