EAVE Film Finance Forum: participants from 25 countries

The annual EAVE Film Finance Forum took place in Luxembourg from March 31 - April 3, in partnership with the Film Fund Luxembourg. EAVE welcomed in the Grand Duchy 30 producers and industry professionals from 25 different countries. Thanks to the support of MEDIA Mundus, 8 professionals from Argentina, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, India, Russia, Singapore, and South Africa) participated in the Forum.  The 2011 EAVE Film Finance Forum experts Head of Studies Christian Kmiotek (Samsa Film, LU), Christophe Bruncher (Les Films de la Butte, FR), Carl Clifton (K5 International, UK), Joachim Knaf (Hochschule für Film- und Fernsehen "Konrad Wolf", DE), Maud Leclair (BNP Paribas, FR), Joëlle Levie (OLFFI, FR), Stefan Rüll (Rüll Law Office, DE), Mathias Schwerbrock (Film Base Berlin, DE) and Bernhard Stampfer (BS Media Finance Advisory, DE) shared their expertise in plenary sessions and private tutorials with the participants. The sessions covered comprehensively questions of film financing, film economy, consumer behavior, sales and distribution, bank related issues, revenue and legal aspects.www.eave.org 

Puentes 2011 – first workshop in Buenos Aires!

Following the success of the first two editions, PUENTES features in 2011 two workshops again: the first one in Buenos Aires that has just taken place during BAFICI (Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente) parallel to the Buenos Aires Lab from April 7- 11, 2011 and the second one in Gijón during Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón from November 21 - 24, 2011.

PUENTES brings together five producers with feature projects from Latin America and five from Europe. During the two workshops they work together with 'state of the art' experts from both continents on script development, co-production between Latin America and Europe, financing in the two regions, legal aspects of co-production, marketing, pitching and promotion, and meet with decision makers during both sessions.

The following producers were selected for PUENTES 2011:

- Anthony Rey, Hélicotronc, Belgium; project: Twilight Tales

- Hanne-Lovise Skartveit, Luna-films, Norway; project: Feriado

- Johanna Teichmann, Neue Bioskop Film, Germany; project: Aleli's House

- Josefina Undurraga, Forastero, Chile; project: I'm sorry Mom

- María Zamora, Avalon, Spain; project: They are All Dead   

The 10 selected producers will work on the development of their projects under the guidance of top industry professionals from both continents. The PUENTES workshop offer in-depth insight into audiovisual market and operating conditions, legal frameworks, financing, sales, distribution and exhibition practices in both continents, it will provide opportunities for networking between the participants and their companies to create medium and long term co-financing and co-production relationships and it will enable the access to a network of producers, markets, festivals and decision makers in both continents. www.puentesworkshop.com 

TIES THAT BIND: the selection for 2011!

TIES THAT BIND Asia-Europe Producers Workshop features in 2011 two workshops again: the first one in Udine (Italy) during the Far East Film Festival from May 3-7, 2011 and the second one in Busan (South Korea) during the Busan International Film Festival in parallel to the Asian Project Market from October 10-13, 2011. The programme brings together five producers with feature projects from Asia and five from Europe. During the two workshops they will work together with top level experts from both continents on script development, co-production between Asia and Europe, financing in the two regions, legal aspects of co-production, marketing, pitching and promotion, and meet with decision makers during both sessions.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
