EAVE ON DEMAND session in co-operation with Association of Ukrainian producers for the Ukrainian film industry.

EAVE is proud to organise an EAVE ON DEMAND session in co-operation with the Association of Ukrainian producers during October 5-6 in Kiev, Ukraine, for producers (members of the Association of Ukrainian producers), distributors and cinemaowners/exhibitors. The objective is to enhance the knowledge of the participants about internationalmarketing, sales and distribution and innovative strategies of marketing, promotion andaudience building.
EAVE ON DEMAND will consist of a day of masterclasses and a day of group work sessions for 17 producers with their projects in development.
EAVE ON DEMAND IN KIEV will combine the long experience that EAVE has in international training and networking with a tailor-made approach for film industry professionals from Ukraine, taking into account their specific needs.
The first day of masterclasses for a larger audience will include sessions by Alvaro Vega (Doblesentido, ES) on Marketing b2b et b2c; Joanna Solecka (Alphapanda, DE) on Marketing online & how to use social media; Virginie Devesa (Alpha Violet, FR) on How to work with a sales agent; Gudrun Burie (PR Factory, BE) on Festivals & publicity.
The second workshop day is dedicated entirely to the work on a selection of projects. The format will be group work guided by Alvaro Vega and Virginie Devesa. In an individualised and pragmatic way, the experts will elaborate marketing strategies (including online marketing and social media) for every project together with the participants. This day is exclusively reserved for projects which have previously been selected by the experts.

Gudrun BURIE – The PR Factory
Gudrun Burie started her career working in-house with independent distributors. Since 2002 she has worked as a unit publicist, production assistant and PR and Marketing consultant for several production companies and distribution companies. In Belgium, she specializes in feature film and TV publicity for a number of production companies and TV channels. She workes on a regular base for Menuet, Savage Film, Caviar, … She also represents the happy few of Belgian talents as an international talent manager. For over 20 years, THE PR FACTORY has helped films, festivals and a wide range of acting, directing and related film talent find their audiences through free publicity, social media management, cross-media promotion, traditional marketing campaigns and event organization both in its home market, the Benelux countries – Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg – and at all major film festivals.
Virginie Devesa – ALPHA VIOLET
Virginie made her first foray into Cinema in Ukraine, where she was part of the team organizing the Kyiv Film Festival.Back in Paris, she worked for 3 years at Celluloid Dreams. She was then hired by the French Embassy in Moscow to organize with UniFrance the French Film Festival in Moscow. Upon her return, she studied Film production at the CEFPF in Paris and started to work for Urban Distribution as head of acquisitions and sales. Her experiences have led her to the creation of her own sales label with Keiko Funato in 2012, Alpha Violet, with the desire to keep promoting the films she loves in a close relationship with the producers. ALPHA VIOLET’s credits include HUNTING SEASON by Natalia Garagiola (Audience Award in Venice Critics’ Week 2017), LOS NADIE by Juan Sebastian Mesa (Audience Award in VeniceCritics ’Week 2016), WOLF AND SHEEP by Shahrbanoo Sadat (CICAE Award at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight 2016), THE TRIBE by Myroslav Slabohspytskiy (Grand Prix & Visionary Award in Cannes Critics’ Week 2014 as well as 40 other Grand Prix) and HERE AND THERE by Antonio Mendez (Grand Prix in Cannes Critics’ Week 2012). She opened up in 2015 the production Company ALPHA VIOLET Production together with Jean-Baptiste Bailly-Maitre to produce and coproduce promising Filmmakers on their second feature films such as Myroslav Slabohspytkiy (The Tribe) or Agnieszka Smocynska (The Lure).
Joanna Solecka – ALPHAPANDA
Marketing strategist and Torino Film Lab trainer in the Audience Design field. Creative producer for shorts and documentaries. Lecturer at the international training workshops forfiction and documentary filmmakers. Currently Joanna works for Alphapanda, a film marketing agency specialised in digital, which was founded in London in 2011 by Mathias Noschis. It is today a European boutique agency with team members in Berlin, Warsaw, Geneva and Copenhagen. Alphapanda develops marketing strategies and implements social media campaigns, viral marketing activities,crowdfunding campaigns, buzz monitoring projects and outreach campaigns for independent and mainstream films. Alphapanda's client list spans from Hollywood majors (20th Century Fox, Warner Bros) to independent producers and distributors. Recent projects include A Heart of Love (Berlinale '17), Orecchie (Venice '16), The Last Family (Locarno '16), Zud (Berlinale '16) and documentaries The Trial: The State of Russia vs. Oleg Sentsov (Berlinale '17), Porn to be Free (Rotterdam '16) and Something Better to Come (IDFA 2014).Alphapanda also manages social media for the European Film Awards.
Alvaro Vega – DOBLESENTIDO
Álvaro Vega is a highly experienced professional in films promotion. Graduated in Marketing, Advertising and PR, he managed during more than 5 years (2007-2012) the marketing and publicity areas at Vértigo Films, one of the main Spanish distribution companies. Since 2012, Álvaro develops his activity as CEO & Founder of DobleSentido, his own agency of marketing, communication, events and training for the cinema industry. He accumulated more than 100 films promoted during his career. In 2014 he designed and managed the communication and publicity campaign in Spain and USA of the Oscars Nominee ‘Aquel no era yo’ (‘That wasn’t me).
