Georgia 2014

In cooperation with the Georgian National Film Center, EAVE will organize a special workshop for producers from Georgia with feature films in development.

Workshop 1: July 1-3, 2014
Workshop 2: Novemebr 17-18, 2014

GNFC together with EAVE announces a call for applications for developing Georgian feature film projects and scripts. 

Organized by the Georgian National Film Center and EAVE, the Mini EAVE in Georgia will consist of one workshop and online session taking place in Georgia in 2014.

  • workshop 1: July 1-3, 2014
  • workshop 2: November 17-18, 2014

GNFC with International Experts’ Commission will select maximum 5 producers with feature projects in development. 

Language

Working language for all sessions will be English. 

Target Group

- Georgian feature film writers/directors and producers having a full length feature film project (for theatrical release) on the development stage.

- Producers and Writers who wish to obtain develop skills in the areas covered by the programme concept.

Biographical Profiles of the Experts:

Head of Studies/Production Tutor: Jani Thiltges

Jani Thiltges, Luxembourg national born in 1962, studied for film director at INSAS (Institut Supérieur des Arts du Spectacles et Techniques de Diffusion) in Brussels from 1984 to 988. Since 1986, Jani is a partner and CEO of Samsa Film in Luxembourg. He is also a member of the European Film Academy and has been President as well as group leader EAVE for many years. Since 2012, he is Head of Studies of the EAVE European Producers Workshop.Samsa Film is, according to the dimension and the number of films developed and produced, the leading production company in Luxembourg. The company also holds interests in partner companies in Belgium, France and Portugal. Jani’s credits as a producer include a large number of projects from feature films co-produced on an international level to short films and documentaries. He has also a company in France for which he produced box office hits such as COMME T’Y ES BELLE and was quoted as one of the biggest French producers by Le Film Français in 2007.

Script Consultant: Clare Downs

Script consultant, scriptwriter, Visiting lecturer at the National Film and Television School (UK) and the MAScreenwriting Dept at De Montfort University. Producer - The Dress (BAFTA), High Season (San Sebastian, BestScreenplay). Clare Downs has been a founding member of the EAVE script analyst team since 1989. Also Headof Studies of the Southern African producer training programme, AVEA, Script Expert for the South CaucasianFilm Project (IFSCA), the Jerusalem International Film Lab, and has extensive international script consulting andworkshop experience.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
