April 3-7, 2019 in LUXEMBOURG

EAVE+ reloaded – apply for the April edition!

Applications are now open for the ninth edition of EAVE+.

Extended deadline for applications is February 1, 2019.

EAVE+ gathers 15 producers during 4 days to discuss their company structures and management practices together with high-profile industry experts.

In immersive role-plays, design thinking and scenario planning exercises, group work, individual coaching and through an interdisciplinary approach, the EAVE+ workshop will tackle the business side of running a film company.

Top-notch business and management coaches will explore topics such as cashflow management, leadership, company strategies, negotiation with financiers and partners, and raising finance from investors.

«Very excellent compressed professional training with high level experts, experienced participants, that gives you opportunity to understand where you are in your professional life. »
Gints Grube, Mistrus Media, Latvia, EAVE+ 2018

Applications are open for independent producers with a solid track record and international experience from Europe and the rest of the world until January 25, 2019.

Led by EAVE+ Head of Studies Jani Thiltges (Samsa Film, LU), the workshop will tackle topics such as: How to grow as a company? How to reinvent yourself after failure? How to sustain a viable business? What kind of leader am I? How to improve my team management? How to achieve a better life work balance?

A new feature for this edition is a special workshop by marketing strategist and business development consultant AC Coppens (The Marketing Catalysts), supporting the producers in their entrepreneurial endeavors—as company founders, leaders or managers with responsibilities and ambitions beyond their creative producing role.

With strategic scenario development tools and exercises specifically designed for individual purposes, concrete options will be explored for sustaining and developing production companies in challenging and competitive contexts, by:

  • Assessing the competitive space (market trends, competition, partners' ecosystem)
  • Considering change (across products and formats, target groups, distribution channels, partners expectation and more)
  • Setting actionable goals at the company level
  • Exploring and designing strategy scenarios (to approach these goals in a structured way, e.g. consolidation, growth, but how?)

Among the experts for this session will be EAVE consultant Linda Beath, who will take the EAVE+ participants to the next level of company management: how to hire and fire, cashflow management, how to structure your business and other burning management issues.

EAVE management coach Michael Comyn (The Fearless Organisation IE) will work on the individual leadership qualities and resilience in private coaching sessions.

Marc Bordure (FR), General and Financial Manager of the French production company AGAT FILMS & Cie / Ex Nihilo, will discuss questions related to the company structure and go into some detail about setting up a production company development fund.

EAVE+ is organised once a year in Luxembourg with support of the Creative Europe - MEDIA sub-programme of the European Union and Film Fund Luxembourg.

Extended deadline for applications: February 1, 2019
