WEBDOX - An international opportunity for interactive webdocumentaries

In May 2013 MEDIA Desk Flanders, Flanders Audiovisual Fund and iDROPS organised the second edition of WEBDOX, next to the one-day conference there were two creative labs: DOCJAM and DOX&TECH. Again it was an amazing experience! Participants went home satisfied with what they've learned, the people they've met, the productive ideas they've created in a short time and of course the fun they've had.

Now we are continuing on September 30th in Ghent with a special workshop with Sharon Daniel, an award-winning webdocumentary artist and professor of digital arts from California. Daniel’s work has been exhibited internationally at museums and festivals, her essays have been published in books and professional journals.

During the first part she will present her work and after the break you get the chance to personally meet her, ask her questions and get feedback on your ideas and projects. (from 3pm until 7pm)

This event is a forerunner of the development lab "Doc Hothouse" which will take place during the Ghent Filmfestival, from October 10th till 12th.

During this Lab we support participants to implement their ideas and enhance their chances to obtain financial support from the Journalismfund.eu for doing research.

The journalismfund.eu stimulates quality, in-depth journalism in Flanders and Europe. Pitch your documentary idea at Doc Hot House to the organisation and get advice on how to make your idea more eligible for funding through Journalismfund.eu and increase your chances of getting a working grant from the organisation.
