CINEKID Junior Co-production Market

The deadline for submissions for this year's Junior Co-production Market has been extended to 1 July 2018.

The Junior Co-production Market is an integrated two-day co-production market that enables financiers, broadcasters and producers to assess new and innovative children's projects across the film and television sectors.

Warsaw Kids Film Forum is now accepting applications for its international pitching forum  

Deadline: 30 June 2018.

The 2nd edition of the international pitching forum for films and series for the young spectator will take place on September 26-28, 2018 in Warsaw during the 5th Kids Film Festival.

An Observer is a participant of the Forum who gets access to the three-day programme.

The Observer can take part in:

  • the Inspiration Day – a cycle of case studies of the most interesting coproductions for children, modern marketing and cross media strategies (first day of the Forum),
  • pitching sessions of 28 projects from Poland and Europe as an observer,
  • individual meetings with projects participating in the Pitching and Script Exchange Meeting, as well as guests invited by the organizer.

Meetings will open if time slots are available and upon prior acceptance from the requested person.

The Script Exchange meeting, where scriptwriters and directors will present their projects in search of a producer (Observers-producers will have priority in participating in this event).
Meetings at Consultants’ tables. At the 45-minute meeting with a consultant, the Observer will be able to talk about their idea or scenario at an early stage of development with an experienced industry representative / script consultant.
An Observer will receive a login and password to participant zone at www.warsawkidsff.pl. The site is to be used to register for meetings.

Registration for Observers – Forum participants – is open until 16th of September at www.warsawkidsff.pl. Participation is free of charge. First-come-first service rule applies.

We are now accepting applications for projects to take part in the pitch session during Warsaw Kids Film Forum. Poland’s first international forum for films and television series aimed at children. The forum will take place from the 27th – 29th of September 2017, in Warsaw during the 4th edition of The Kids Film Festival. We are accepting applications until June 30th.  
 
The goal of the Warsaw Kids Film Forum is to create a meeting place for film industry professionals who are interested in creating content for children. We will bring together countries from our region, where creating content for children is in its infancy, with professionals from countries where productions aimed at children are a regular part of the industry. The forum will be an opportunity to connect with: producers, distributors, sales agents, funding institutions, and film festival representatives. We want to create a space that will be practically helpful; connecting projects with potential co-producers, distributors and festivals; as well as educational, where the industry can discover the newest trends.  
 
During the Warsaw Kids Film Forum between 20 and 24 projects will take part in the pitch session, projects of feature films and television series who are searching for coproducers, distributors or financing. The winner of the best pitch will be invited to present their project during The Financing Forum for Kids Content 2018, in Malmo. There will also be “Work in Progress” screenings for select Polish projects. As well as the opportunity to consult ideas for projects, aimed at children, at One-To-One meetings with script doctors, sales agents and distributors.  
 
The forum is being organized for the film and media industries in Poland and Europe, with an emphasis on presenting projects from Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Baltic states. We are inviting: producers, writers, directors, distributors, sales agents, funding institutions, as well as others interested in creating culture for children.
 
Warsaw Kids Film Forum has opened registration for the Pitching session; applications can be submitted until June 30th, through the online form at www.warsawkidsff.pl. Taking part in the pitch session as well as the pitching workshops is free of charge.  Projects being developed at Kids Film Pro, a development program of films for children www.kdpro.pl will also be presented during the forum.  
 
What kind of projects are we looking for?

Projects from Poland and Europe: in development, at treatment phase, with a script or in early production.
Projects with a screenwriter and a producer on board (a director is not required).
Feature films, animations, documentaries as well as TV series for children.

Warsaw Kids Film Forum will take place from the 27th-29th of September 2017, at the Muranów Cinema in Warsaw during the 4th edition of The Kids Film Festival.  
 
Warsaw Kids Film Forum is organised by the Education Department of the New Horizons Association. WKFF is co-financed by: the Municipal Office Capital City of Warsaw, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Creative Europe Desk Polska. Partners of WKFF are: the Mazowiecki Film fund, the Polish Animation Producers Association, Polish Audiovisual Producers Chamer of Commerce, Kids Regio, The Financing Forum for Kids Content and EAVE European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs.  

Special prizes for projects pitched

We are pleased to announce that the best pitched project of the Warsaw Kids Film Forum will be invited to the present at The Financing Forum for Kids Content (March 2018) in Malmö. Also, EAVE European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs will grant one of the projects pitched with an invitation to the EAVE Marketing Workshop (November 2017) held in Luxembourg.

ScripTeast. Applications are open

Deadline: July 31, 2018.

ScripTeast is a project-based training program, designed specifically for scriptwriters from Eastern and Central Europe.

Applicants must be nationals or residents of countries participating in the MEDIA Programme. However, ScripTeast has been developed to focus on scriptwriters originating from Central and Eastern European countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Applicants must provide credits for at least one theatrical feature film, one television feature film or a television series that had already been produced or must have extensive experience as writers, journalists or directors.

The submitted feature film script must be completed or nearing completion, must be an original work, and the shooting cannot commence before the end of April of the following year.

The script must not participate in any other scriptwriters’ training program at the time of its participation in ScripTeast.

THE APPLICATION PACKAGE SHOULD BE IN ENGLISH AND SHOULD CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING:

A signed original application form
The script (2 copies, UNBOUND)
A synopsis (250-300 words);
A CV (including professional experience, achievements and awards);
A cover letter stating:
motivation and expectations from the participation in ScripTeast,
project’s estimated chances of being produced;
Additional materials / DVD with samples of previous work (by post only).

THE APPLICATION PACKAGE SHOULD BE SUBMITTED IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

Once submitted, your application cannot be changed. We strongly advise applicants to apply online well before the closing date. The ScripTeast webpage experiences peak usage in days leading up to the deadline and applicants may experience delays.

If you are unable to submit your application online, you can apply by mail. Please send an email addressed to applications@scripteast.pl to obtain a Word format application form. Applications sent by fax will not be accepted.

Applications WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Unselected applications will be disposed of safely.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
