connecting cottbus: coco entry 2017 now open

In 2017 connecting cottbus is taking place in its 19th edition on November 9 and 10 in Cottbus, Germany. We are currently accepting submissions for our coco Pitching and our Work in Progress section both until July 28, as well as accreditation requests until October 13, 2017.

Holland Film Meeting Co-production Platform

Deadline: June 15

Do you have a film project in development? Are you looking for co-production or financing? We are very happy to announce that Holland Film Meeting is now open for new submissions to the Co-Production Platform! The deadline to submit your project is June 15th, 2017!  

Requirements:
• Only European feature projects suitable for Dutch or European co-production are eligible;
• Fiction, documentary, animation and transmedia projects with a minimum length of 70 minutes can apply;
• Local financial support must be in place(support from a public funding institution, TV, MG or tax shelter);
• The following material is required: application form, production company profile, director’s and/or scriptwriter’s profile, director’s statement, synopsis, script or treatment, budget and financial plan, and director’s previous work (digitally).

Conditions:
• Only completed forms will be taken into consideration;
• Once a project has been selected, a maximum of 2 representatives should be present during the days of the Platform;
• The Holland Film Meeting requires its logo to be included in the credits of the finalised film. The HFM logo shall be sent upon request.

Please note the following:
• There is no entry fee for applications;
• Following the assessment of a jury of industry experts, the project selection will be announced by mid-August 2017;
• The HFM Co-production Platform will take place from 25-27 September 2017.

CROSSROADS CO-PRODUCTION FORUM, November 19 – 21, 2016
Application deadline August 30, 2017
CROSSROADS is a Co-Production Forum, organized by the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. Mediterranean and Balkan producers with a feature film script are given the chance to meet a new network of financiers, co-producers and leading industry specialists.

CROSSROADS will introduce producers to a variety of industry professionals from all over the world. The programme is varied and provides the opportunity to meet, formally and informally, distributors, broadcasters, sales agents and consultants who can offer confidential advice on everything from legal matters to strategies for raising money.

CROSSROADS' goal is to support the producers of feature-length fiction film projects that contain a link to the Mediterranean and Balkan regions. Qualifying features will be produced or co-produced by a country in this area or are movies that contain story elements based in this region.For more information and application forms CROSSROADS will take place for three days from November 19 to the 21 this year.

Cross Video Days Call for Digital Projects and AR/VR Studios

Supported by Creative Europe program since 2013, Cross Video Days (2-4 October 2017) is a unique marketplace where innovative digital content and studios can be pitched, scouted and financed. This year, Cross Video Days will offer two tracks: the first one to finance digital projects in development phase, a second one to finance the activity of game and cinematic AR/VR Studios.

As a growing number of players, funds or equity investors are now supporting not only projects, but the activity of the innovative production companies itself, the Cross Video Days introduce this year a new financing track open to tech-enable content companies whose activity includes the production of cinematic experiences or games using AR/VR/MR/360° technologies.

12 selected European companies will get an unique chance to pitch their investment opportunity to a panel of 15 high-level international investors as well as reputed experts of the AR/VR/MR/360° industry.

Apply to Content Market and meet digital Financiers

In a context when audiovisual digital industry is still experimenting with business models, and to offer maximum chances to the projects to be released, Cross Video Days Content Market strived to increase projects financing opportunities.

47% of the projects selected at the Cross Video Days have been produced and distributed in a 2-years time.

This call is open to any digital-oriented project currently on a fundraising stage and meeting the 4 following categories, whatever their genre (documentary, fiction, animation...)

CALL for ENTRIES of projects & productions for PITCHING & SCREENINGS

ENTRY DEADLINE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF BOTH PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS: JUNE 30 

Join us at this three-day dedicated Market & Pitching Forum, set in relaxing Sitges in front of the Mediterranean Sea, to celebrate the 18thanniversary of this focused event. MEDIMED will present again an exclusive selection of DOCUMENTARY projects and programmes, aiming to enhance the professional and creative exchange between DOC filmmakers & producers from the 12 MEDA countries and the European Union.

The Mediterranean Producer's Association, APIMED, with the financial support of the MEDIA Programme of the European Union, is calling for entries of:

Ø NEW PRODUCTIONS

- DOCUMENTARY 24’ or 52’ length of any genre    

- produced in 2016 or 2017

 

                    NB. 2017 productions must be finished by

                    September.

Ø NEW PROJECTS

- DOCUMENTARY that showcase untold stories

        having in place

- 25% of the finance (minimum), and/or

- a broadcast guarantee, and/or

- a co-production agreement


for individual screening and pitching to invited international key-buyers, commissioning editors, distributors and financiers alike.   

Last year, 30 projects from 15 countries and more than 500 documentary programmes were presented. All producers of selected projects and programmes were available for pitching, one-to-one meetings, channel updates and networking discussions.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
