PUENTES 2025 culminates in Basilicata, Italy!

press release

The second and final session of PUENTES, EAVE’s European-Latin American co-production workshop, will kick off tomorrow, September 27 in Policoro, in the region of Basilicata (IT), and will run until October 3.

Reunited, the selected Latin American and European participants will continue to develop projects, grow their careers and companies, think on a global scale, and forge meaningful professional ties across the Atlantic — all with the support of PUENTES’ experienced experts from both continents.

Experts and programme

The core tutors include Head of Studies and recent recipient of the Dolores Ben Honorary Award Fernanda del Nido (Setembro Cine, AR/ES), Script Consultant Jacques Akchoti (FR), and Group Leader Sophie Erbs (Gaijin, FR).

Guest experts include:

  • Felicitas Raffo (CEPA CINE/Lorolo, ES, AR)
  • Alessandro Amato (dispàrte, IT)
  • Aleksi Hyvärinen (Don Films, FI)
  • Giancarlo Nasi (Quijote Cine, CL)

In addition to plenaries with a focus on topics such as AI, the relationship between producer and writer, as well as case studies of co-productions between Latin America and Europe, group work sessions, and individual meetings with the experts, the second week of PUENTES will feature a special module on company planning, titled 'Building a Sustainable Business', led by Group Leader Sophie Erbs.

PUENTES ITALIA for local professionals

As every year, a special local workshop for 10 Italian producers will take place alongside the international PUENTES program from September 28 to October 1. Check out the selected participants for PUENTES ITALIA here. Local participants and the international group will share plenary sessions and networking events.

PUENTES ITALIA Basilicata Open Day

On September 29, the PUENTES ITALIA participants will be joined by a group of producers from our host region Basilicata to enhance the region’s visibility internationally and offer networking possibilities for all attending producers.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
