- The Pixel Pitch 2011 Winner Announced

The winners of the fifth Cross-Media Forum held in association with the BFI London Film Festival saw Love and Engineering for accomplished international cross-media projects have been awarded. The £6,000 ARTE Pixel Pitch Prize went to LOVE AND ENGINEERING, produced by Finland's EAVE graduate Kaarle Aho (Making Movies Oy), directed by Bulgarian Tonislav Hristov. Love and Engineering follows a group of lonely computer engineers who attempt to find love by endeavouring to translate their online social skills to offline situations with the opposite sex. The pitch won the hearts of the jury and the audience; hopefully the engineers will have the same success.

The project encompasses a feature-length documentary, interactive website, mobile apps and live events. Production is planned for 2012 with release the following year. The Pixel Pitch is the competitive section of The Pixel Market, dedicated to financing cross-media projects from around the world.
