HELI and L'INCONNU DU LAC win in Cannes
Nominations
Among the 320 international applications, 12 projects from 14 different countries have been selected for the international platform of coproduction, the FIDLab. Two are produced by EAVE graduates:
- ELLE(S) by Valérie Massadian, producer: EAVE 2011 graduate Sophie Erbs
- HOTEL MACHINE by Emanuel Licha, producer: EAVE 2005 graduate Patrice Nezan
EAVE TIES THAT BIND 2010 graduate Kiki Sugino is Filmmaker in Focus at the Taipei International Film Festival. All films produced by Kiki Suguno will be shown.

The following EAVE graduates are participating this year at the TORINO FILM LAB's FRAMEWORK programme:

Awards
Two Films by EAVE producers have been awarded at the Cannes Film Festival:
- HELI by Amat Escalante, co-produced by EAVE 1995 graduate Léontine Petit won the Golden Palm for Best Director.
- L'INCONNU DU LAC by Alain Guiraudie, co-producer: EAVE Film Finance Forum 2010 graduate Jean-Laurent Csinidis was awarded the Directing Prize in the Un Certain Regard section.
- THE LUNCHBOX by Ritesh Batra, co-producers: EAVE 2006 graduate Karsten Stöter won Critics' Week Grand Rail D'Or and picked up by Sony Pictures Classics
- EAVE 2011 project THE MUTE by Bartek Konopka, produced by Anna Wydra was awarded the SCRIPTEAST AWARD in Cannes
Two Libra Film productions were awarded during the 8th edition of South East European Film Festival which took place in Los Angeles.
- OF SNAILS AND MEN, directed by EAVE 2008 graduate Tudor Giurgiu, producer: EAVE 2011 graduate Oana Giurgiu, which opened the festival, received the Bridging the Borders award for best feature
- SOMEWHERE IN PALILULA by Silviu Purcarete, producer: EAVE 2008 graduate Tudor Giurgiu received Best Feature Debut award.
- KULTURLANDSCHAFTEN EUROPAS – DIE CEVENNEN by Susann Reichenbach, producer: EAVE 2004 graduate Olaf Jacobs was awarded Best Nature Film of the Ökofilmtour 2013.
- MEINE KEINE FAMILIE by Paul-Julien Robert, producer: EAVE 2008 graduate Oliver Neumann won the OMU Award at the Dok.Fest Munich.

- CHAR – NO MAN’S ISLAND by Sourav Sarangi, producers: EAVE 2010 graduate Signe Byrge Sørensen, EAVE 1992 graduate Stefano Tealdi received a Special Mention of the jury.

- NACH DEM BRAND by Malou Berlin, producer: EAVE 2007 graduate Susann Schimk won the Audience Award at the Schwerin International Film Festival.
- FORGET ME NOT by David Sieveking, producer: EAVE 2012 graduate Martin Heisler received the main award of the 10th PLANETE+ DOC FILM FESTIVAL at Wroclaw and Warsaw.
- EAVE 2010 project THE ACT OF KILLING by Joshua Oppenheimer, Christine Cynn, producer: EAVE 2010 graduate Signe Byrge Sørensen and EAVE 2011 graduate Anne Köhncke won the Grand Prix of Lower Silesia and the Audience Award.
