It´s a wrap for the online second week of EAVE Producers Workshop

The second EAVE Producers Workshop just came to a close. The online plenary week took place from September 28 - October 2, and the online group work week took place from October 19 – 26.

52 participants from 38 countries and their scriptwriters discussed and analysed one another’s projects under the guidance of their group leader in daily group work sessions.

Experts included: Lise Lense-Møller (Magic Hour Films, DK), Ankica Jurić Tilić (Kinorama, HR), Riina Sildos (Amrion, EE), Diana Elbaum (Beluga Tree, BE), Michael Kitzberger (Nikolaus Geyrhalter Filmproduktion, AT), Jacques Akchoti (FR), Martin Daniel (US), Clare Downs (UK), drama series consultant Ossi Nishri (IL), documentary consultant Sylvia Stevens (Faction Films, UK), Sarah Calderón (The Film Agency, ES), Linda Beath (Ideal Filmworks Italia, IT), Pierre-Emmanuel Mouthuy (Mouthuy Avocats, BE), Hédi Zardi (Luxbox, FR), Michael Comyn (Fearless Organization, IE), Anita Voorham (Bravado Film, NL), Eilon Ratzkovsky (Quiddity, IL), Sergio García de Leániz (Eurimages, FR), Danny Karusz (DOR Film, AT), Mehret Mandefro (A51 Pictures, ET), Christophe Bruncher (Ici et Là Productions, FR), Fernanda del Nido (Setembro Cine, ES), Alya Belgaroui-Degalet (Wild Bunch, FR).

The Irish film industry presented itself to the EAVE participants in a special panel session on Producing in and with Ireland by Cian McElhone from Screen Ireland, Prionsias Ní Ghráinne from TG4, documentary producer John Murray from Crossing the Line and drama producer and EAVE National Coordinator in Ireland Katie Holly from Blinder Films, Sarah Dillon from the WRAP Fund. The panel was moderated by EAVE graduate, producer Paddy Hayes from Magamedia.

The week featured an interactive mix of group work, plenary sessions, social exercises, virtual coffee breaks on relevant topics, EAVE online yoga, indiviual meetings, an Irish Happy Hour, Goodnight Story, the EAVEvision song contest and a musical wrap-up, accompanied by EAVE graduate Alessandro Gropplero and the band Almost Happy.

EAVE Producers Workshop´s third and closing week will take place online, from December 5 to 12.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away on March 3. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
