- Igor Cobileanski is currently editing his second feature and EAVE 2009 project, FLYING LESSONS, a bittersweet drama about the friendship of two small-time drug dealers in a forgotten town of Moldova. The film is a Romanian production from EAVE 2009 graduate Alexandru Teodorescu and Saga Film. The project received a MEDIA development grant as well as a production grant of €300,000 from the Romanian National Centre for Cinema. The postproduction is expected to be complete in summer 2010. The local premiere has been delayed and is now rescheduled for spring 2012.
- THE MOST FUN YOU CAN HAVE DYING by Kirstin Marcon, produced by ten cent pictures, producer EAVE 2011 FMW graduate Alex Cole-Baker and executive producer Tim White, service production: EAVE 2006 graduate Matthias Krause (Heimatfilm) is currently shooting the final parts in New Zealand and Hong Kong. The film had a big part of the shooting in Europe: Starting in London for one day, going to Paris, for four days, coming to German countryside for two days. Going on to Berlin for two days, travelling for one day to Munich, crossing the Alps to shoot in Monaco. From there the team travelled via Milan to Venice for one day.All in all we had to organize a shooting in eight different cities, in five European countries in 14 shooting days including five travel days. “To shoot in so many locations, and to organize everything on a low-budget-level in such a short time (we ourselves had to get permissions, locations, for the three German locations as well as equipment and crew for the entire shooting) we needed help – but thanks to the EAVE-built network, I was able to work together with other participants from the 2006 workshop,” says Matthias Krause. He could count on the support of EAVE 2006 graduates Anne Beresford from MJW productions, Antonin Dedet from Neon productions and Franco Bocca Gelsi. All in all there were four EAVE-participants involved in this shooting.
