- I ACCIDENTALLY WROTE A BOOK by Tamas Yvan Topolànszky, producer: EAVE graduate Claudia Sümeghy is supported by the National Film Institute of Hungary. For the Hungarian-Dutch co-production the Netherlands Filmfonds previously approved a minority co-production funding as well as funding from the Netherlands Film Production Incentive. The family film presents the miracle of writing with unique visual elements through the personal story of a 12-year-old girl. The story highlights how writing can help through even in the most difficult times. While the protagonist learns to write, she discovers her family’s story, gets to know herself better and processes the trauma of losing her mother. The screenplay of the film written by Nora Lakos was the first Hungarian script to be invited to one of the most important European screenplay development workshops, the Cinekid Script LAB and then won the EURIMAGES Co-Development Award as the best film plan of 2021 at Cinekid Co-production Market. I ACCIDENTALLY WROTE A BOOK is produced by the Budapest based production company Juno 11 Pictures owned by Claudia Sümeghy and co-produced by EAVE graduate Joram Willink and Maaike Neve from Dutch production house BIND. The film is also co-produced by Nóra Lakos with Squirrel Film. Shooting starts in the first half of 2023.
