  • EAVE project BIENCUIDAO by Abner Benaim, producer: EAVE graduate Gema Juarez Allen won the Berlinale Highlight Pitch Award 
  • EAVE graduate Emilija Chochkova with EAVE project THE SECRET INGREDIENT and Ties That Bind graduate Guillaume de la Boulaye with the project ONE THOUSAND received cash prizes for their nomination for the VFF Talent Highlight Pitch Award.
  • Arte International Prize went to PUENTES project LOS PERROS, producers EAVE graduates Tom Dercourt and Sophie Erbs
  • Eurimages Co-production Development Award went to 3 DAYS IN QUIBERON by Emily Atef, producer: EAVE graduate Karsten Stöter 
  • THE MIRACLE OF THE SARGASSO SEA produced by EAVE graduate Maria Drandaki received a Honorable Mention
  • CICAE Art Cinema Award went to ZURICH by Sacha Polak, producer: EAVE graduate Marleen Slot, co-producer: EAVE graduate Karsten Stöter, line producer: EAVE graduate Oliver Röpke
  • Peace Film Prize went to THE LOOK OF SILENCE by Joshua Oppenheimer, producer: EAVE graduate Signe Byrge Sørensen

  • IDA by Pawel Pawlikowski, co-producer: EAVE graduate Christian Falkenberg Husum has won the Oscar for Best Foreign-language Film. The black and white drama is the first Polish feature to win the prize. The film also won the Independent Spirit Award for Best International Film.

  • TWO DAYS, ONE NIGHT by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, producer: EAVE graduate Peter Bouckaert won Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor
  • NOT MY TYPE (PAS SON GENRE) by Lucas Belvaux, producer: EAVE group leader Patrick Sobelman also won three awards: Best Screenplay, Best Sound and Best Actress
  • EAVE project MARINA by Stijn Coninx, producer: EAVE graduate Peter Bouckaert was equally successful: the film was awarded Best Flemish Film, Best Production Design and Best Costumes
  • LA MARCHE by Nabil Ben Yadir, co-producer: EAVE graduate and group leader Diana Elbaum received the awards for Best Editing and Best Supporting Actress
  • BABY BALLOON by Stefan Liberski, producer: EAVE graduate Jacques-Henri Bronckart won Best Actress

  • THEY HAVE ESCAPED by JP Valkeapää, producer: EAVE graduate Aleksi Bardy is the great winner at the Jussi Awards, the Finnish national film prize. The project won Best Finnish Film, Best Director, Best Sound Design and Best Editing.

  • PARIS OF THE NORTH by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson, co-producer: EAVE graduate Guillaume de Seille won two awards at the Eddas – Iceland’s national film prize: Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.

  • THE SALT OF THE EARTH by Wim Wenders and Juliano Ribeiro Salgado, producer: EAVE graduate Gian-Piero Ringel won the César for Best Documentary at the French ceremony.

  • THE LESSON by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov, producer: EAVE graduate Magdelena Ilieva and EAVE graduate Konstantina Stavrianou received the Ingmar Bergman International Debut Award at the festival.
  • The audience favourite was EAVE project MY SKINNY SISTER by Sanna Lenken, producer: EAVE graduate Annika Rogell
  • TURIST by Ruben Östlund, producer: EAVE graduate Marie Kjelsson won the City of Gothenburg Award

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
