After the great success of the PUENTES workshops for European and Latin American producers and the AUSTRALAB industry meetings in Valdivia, we are delighted to announce the launch of PUENTES-AUSTRALAB, a new and innovative platform connecting professionals from Europe & Latin America.
PUENTES-AUSTRALAB is targeted at Latin American & European producers, bringing them together with potential financiers, distributors, sales agents, and reinforcing artistic and industrial cooperation between Europe & Latin America.

The workshop modules bring together 5 European & 5 Latin American producers with their feature projects in development for 2 workshops in Montevideo, Uruguay (organized by Mutante Cine, from April 25-29, 2012) & Valdivia, Chile (Valdivia film festival). After the second session, targeted co-production meetings in Valdivia will be organized around the 10 selected projects following the workshop.

Experts involved in the first session: Fernando Epstein (Control Z, Uruguay), Jean des Forêts, Christoph Friedel (Pandora, Germany), Miguel Machalski (France/Argentina), Jorge Goldenberg (Argentina), Alan Fountain (EAVE, UK), Sarah Calderon (The Film Agency, Spain), Bruno Bettati (Jirafa Films, Chile - TBC)

PUENTES-AUSTRALAB combines producer training, project development, co-production meetings and distribution opportunities and offers a strong & direct connection between the different agents of the value chain of film production in Europe & Latin America: development, training and access to the markets, encouraging the distribution and circulation of films by bringing together the key players: talents-producers-financiers-sales agents-distributors-cinema owners.

The workshop will enable feature film producers from both continents to work together in two workshops and will offer the 10 selected participants:

- top level professional and project development,

- work on the comprehensive development of European and Latin American projects,

- cooperation and co-production on these and future projects,

- networking between the participants and their companies to create medium and long term co-financing and co-production relationships,

- access to a network of producers, financiers, markets, festivals, distributors and sales agents in both continents.
