The Executive Committee of the Fund has decided to support the co-production of 32 feature films, including 2 documentaries and 1 animation, for a total amount of €9 835 000. 56.25% of the projects are produced by EAVE graduates.

IFFR HUBERT BALS FUND

International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR)’s Hubert Bals Fund (HBF) has selected eight feature film projects for its 2026 HBF+Europe support schemes worth €60,000 each.

In Production

  • EAVE project TING is shooting in South Tyrol. Produced by EAVE graduates Roberto Cavallini, Deborah Nischler, co-produced by EAVE graduate James Heath. At the end of WWI, Marilì, a war orphan, escapes her grim reality by befriending Ting, a creature born from the battlefield's horrors. Harboring a terrifying secret, Ting force Marilì to confront her own trauma in a world crushed by conflict. The film was supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, the Italian Ministry of Culture and by Film Commission Torino Piemonte, IDM Film and Music Commission, Screen Scotland.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
