EAVE Producers Workshop 2025: A Grand Finale in Thessaloniki

press release

Thessaloniki, Greece, will be the location of the EAVE 2025 Producers Workshop’s third and final session, taking place from October 27 – November 3!

After a year of intensive training, development, and collaboration, the newest members of the EAVE network are ready to step onto the international stage. During this final session, they will present themselves, their companies and their projects, and connect with the global industry in a series of EAVE-curated one-to-one meetings.

We will welcome 98 “future partners” – leading international industry professionals - to meet the 53 rising producing talents from 35 countries and discuss the 27 fiction, documentary and series projects developed during this year’s EAVE Producers Workshop under the guidance of EAVE’s top experts.

Highlights of the week

The workshop week will feature a series of thought-provoking sessions by visionary producers, industry innovators and funding representatives, including:

  • Impact Production in Practice: Tools & Case Studies by Coline Aymard (Citizen 7, FR)
  • A Producer’s Guide to Transmedia, Games, and Growth by Alisha Hasan (Helsinki Film Lab, FI)
  • Re-Wilding the Screen and Greening the Production by Bassam Alasad (Creative Media Solutions, JO)
  • Producing in the Wild West of AI by Aleksi Hyvärinen (Don Films, FI)
  • Supranational Support to Film and TV Series: Eurimages and Council of Europe by Anne-Christine Knoth (Eurimages) and Alex Traila (Council of Europe).

Participants will dive into company strategies, sales and distribution models through presentations by EAVE core experts:

  • Company Constellations by Katrine Schlüter Schierbeck and Michael Kitzberger
  • Strategic Recoupment: Choices – Rethinking Profit Preservation by Jennifer Sabbah and Joanna Szymanska
  • Company Planning groups by Sophie Erbs and Jennifer Sabbah
  • All You Need to Know about Sales and Distribution Agreements by Didar Domehri and Pierre-Emmanuel Mouthuy

A special spotlight on “Producing with Greece” will showcase the country’s thriving audiovisual landscape, featuring insights from Athena Kartalou (EKKOMED Hellenic Film & Audiovisual Center), Amanda Livanou (Neda Film) and Neoklis Mantas (EKKOMED Hellenic Film & Audiovisual Center), moderated by EAVE National Coordinator Konstantinos Kontovrakis. The session will be followed by a cocktail hosted by Greek Producers Association SAPOE, with a presentation by the Film Office of Central Macedonia.

True to EAVE’s holistic philosophy, we aim to create a healthy and balanced workshop environment with restorative and relaxing spaces. Participants will benefit from grounding and balancing energy exercises by EAVE Head of Studies and clinical EEM and EFT practitioner Lise Lense-Møller as well as morning yoga sessions by EAVE project manager and certified yoga teacher Tanika Sajatovic.

As we gather one last time in Thessaloniki, we celebrate not only the EAVE journey and the projects that have taken shape, but the friendships, collaborations, and creative sparks that will continue to grow beyond this week. Here’s to an inspiring finale and a bright new chapter for the EAVE 2025 producers!
