EAVE 2016 selection & Season’s greetings

Press release

We are delighted to close the year announcing the participants for the EAVE Producers Workshop 2016, selected out of 143 applications from 44 different countries.

EAVE proudly presents the 52 up and coming producers from 36 countries that will be part of the EAVE programme next year. (See the complete list of selected participants below).

We are particularly happy and grateful to our 2016 scholarship partners for their generous support:

• As in the previous years, the French CNC supports the participation of 4 producers: Rula Al Rawashdeh-Nasser (Jordan), May Odeh (Palestine), Sandino Saravia Vinay (Uruguay) and Sanjay Shah (India).
• Thanks to our long-time partner, German regional fund MDM, two producers from the Balkan region will develop their projects and skills at the EAVE 2016 course: Alem Babic from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Vanya Rainova from Bulgaria.
• In the framework of EAVE’s partnership with Cinema Do Brasil, EAVE was able to allocate a scholarship to Maria Carneiro da Cunha.
• PACT and EAVE are jointly offering a scholarship to one UK producer (Rajita Shah) in the name and memory of EAVE expert Dorothy Viljoen.
• Last but not least, EAVE allocated one scholarship to one participant of the Ex Oriente 2015 workshops: Zoran Galic from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In addition to those, a number of scholarships have been allocated by EAVE to participants from countries with no support mechanisms.
