CineMart deadline extended to September 19, 2011
Call for applications
The CineMart deadline for submitting projects has been extended to September 19, 2011
Please note that it is always possible to send us a request for a slightly later deadline.
From January 25 to February 5, 2012, the 41st edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam will take place. During the festival, the 29th edition of the international co-production market CineMart will be held from January 29 to February 1.
Over the course of four days, CineMart will again present around 30 international projects of acclaimed directors and their younger talented colleagues to approximately 850 professionals from the international film industry, ranging from sales agents, producers and distributors to television buyers and funding agencies.
Through this email we would like to ask you to encourage producers from your network, that have any new projects in development that need additional financing, and for which you think CineMart would be an appropriate platform, to send their projects to us to take in consideration for selection for the 29th CineMart edition.
The specific conditions for entering a project to CineMart are the following:
- The project should not have been presented at other international co-production markets (with the exception of CineMart's official partners or after discussion with one of CineMart’s managers)
- The project can be from all parts of the world and can be in all stages of production: from script (in need of development money) to rough cut (still in need of pre-sales money)
- The project should be a feature film with theatrical & international potential (minimum length of 70 minutes)
- There should be a director & producer attached to the project, preferably producers or directors who are deemed capable of getting films off the ground
- The project should be forwarded to us before ***SEPTEMBER 19, 2011***
- Applications should include all the requested documents. Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration for selection
- The project's complete (at least a second draft) screenplay should be available during CineMart
- Once a project has been selected, one representative, but preferably two (producer & director) should be present during the four days of the market
- There is no entry fee for applications
