Ten awards for EAVE producers in Locarno
Awards
- ANARCHY IN ZIMURNAI by director Saulius Drunga, producer: EAVE 2007 graduate Ieva Norviliene won the Silver George for the best film of the Perspectives competition at the Moscow Film Festival
- HALT AUF FREIER STRECKE by Andreas Dresen and produced by EAVE group leader Peter Rommel won the main prize of the main prize of the European Film Festival Palic.

- BULLHEAD by Michaël R. Roskam, co-producer: EAVE 2009 graduate Peter Bouckaert was awarded the Motovun Propeller of the Motovun Film Festival in Croatia
- LIFE IS ON THE OTHER SIDE by Elsa Quinette, producer: EAVE graduate Céline Maugis was awarded the National Prix Georges de Beauregard at the FID Marseilles
- BROWNIAN MOVEMENT by Nanouk Leopold, co-producers: EAVE 1994 graduate Stienette Bosklopper and EAVE 2008 graduate Ellen de Waele won the The International Film Guide award at the New Horizons International Film Festival in Wroclaw.
-The Audience Award went to Paula Markovitch’s EL PREMIO (THE PRIZE), co-producer: EAVE 2006 graduate Nicole Gerhards
- Paula Markovitch also won the Prix des Étudiants of the Paris Cinema Festival with EL PREMIO (THE PRIZE), co-producer: EAVE 2006 graduate Nicole Gerhards.
- SUR LA PLANCHE by Leila Kilani, co-producer: EAVE 2009 graduate Hanneke van der Tas was awarded the Prix du Jury mention spéciale
- PUNK’S NOT DEAD by Vladimir Blaževski, producer: EAVE 2011 participant Darko Popov won the East of the West Award at he Film Festival Karlovy Vary
EAVE producers were very successful at the Filmfestival Locarno
- BACK TO STAY(ABRIR PUERTAS Y VENTANAS) by Milagros Mumenthaler, producer: EAVE 2011 participant Eugenia Mumenthaler won the Golden Leopard, the Leopard for best female actress (María Canale) and the FIPRESCI Prize
- BEST INTENTIONS by Adrian Sitaru, co-produced by EAVE 2007 graduate and Romanian National Coordinator Ada Solomon, EAVE 2005 producer Emoke Vagasi and EAVE 2011 participant Monica Lazurean Gorgan won the Leopard for best director and the Leopard for best actor (Bogdan Dumitrache)
- NANA by Valérie Massadian, produced by Sophie Erbs won the Leopard for Best First Film.
- GOODBYE FIRST LOVE by Mia Hansen-Løve, producer: EAVE 2008 graduate Verona Meier received a Special Mention by the Jury
- AMONG US by Marco Van Geffen, producer: EAVE graduate Léontine Petit, EAVE 2007 graduate Marleen Slot was awarded the Ecumenical Prize and CICAE Prix Art & Essai
- SEVEN ACTS OF MERCY by by Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio, co-producer: EAVE 2006 graduate Dan Burlac received the FICC / IFFS Prize
- CHAR THE ISLAND WITHIN by Sourav Sarangi, producer: EAVE 2010 graduate Signe Byrge Sorensen, EAVE graduate Stefano Tealdi received the ARTE Grant for Development.
- THE GENTLE DANCE by Anup Singh co-produced by EAVE 2006 graduate Mathias Krause won the CNC Grant for Development.
- THE SLUT by Hagar Ben Asher, co-producer: PUENTES 2011 participant Benny Drechsel was awarded the Pirchi Family Award in Memory of Anat Pirchi for Best Director
- STOPPED ON TRACK by Andreas Dresen, producer: EAVE 1994 graduate & group leader Peter Rommel won the Golden Tower for Best Film at the European Film Festival Palic
- LOVERBOY by Catalin Mitulescu, producer EAVE 2010 graduate Marcian Lazar was awarded the Heart of Sarajevo Award for Best Actress (Ada Condeescu)
-The EAVE scholarship at CineLink went to MARIA DRANDAKI, PAN ENTERTAINMENT SA, Greece
- STAGE FRIGHT by Yorgos Zois, producer: Maria Dandraki won the Centre national de la cinematographie Award of CineLink
- TOUCH ME NOT, written and directed by Adina Pintilie, co-producer: EAVE 2011 participant Monica Lazurean-Gorgan received a Special Mention in the CineLink Plus Programme

Nominations
- IN DARKNESS by Agnieszka Holland is the new Polish Oscar Candidate. Producer is Studio Filmowe Zebra, co-producers are Hidden Films Inc. (Canada) and EAVE 2002 graduate Leander Carell of Schmidtz Katze Filmkollektiv GmbH (Germany). The film received financial support from the Polish Film Institute and the Lódz Film Fund.It tells the story of Leopold Socha, a Polish man who went from smalltime crook to hero during the course of the Second World War. Risking his own life and the lives of his loved ones, he saves a dozen men, women, and children from certain extermination and helps them survive almost 14 months in hiding.
- SLEEPLESS NIGHT (NUIT BLANCHE) by Frédéric Jardin, co-delegate producer: EAVE 2011 participant David Grumbach is selected for the competition at Toronto.

- MARÉCAGES (WETLANDS) written and directed by Guy Édoin, producers: EAVE 2008 graduate Félize Frappier and Luc Vandal is the opening film of Canada First! Section at the Film Festival Toronto.

San Sebastian has unveiled the Horizontes Latinos programme of 13 films competing for the Horizontes Awards. Three films are produced by EAVE graduates:
- BACK TO STAY by Milagros Mumenthaler, producer: EAVE 2011 participant Eugenia Mumenthaler
- LAS ACACIAS by Pablo Giorgelli, producer: PUENTES 2011 participant Paula Massa
- PORFIRIO by Alejandro Landes, co-producer: EAVE 2011 participant Augustina Chiarino
- UNFAIR WORLD by Filippos Tsitos, produced by EAVE 2010 producer Alexandra Boussiou is in the official selection of the San Sebastian Film Festival.
- STILLEBEN by Meise, producers: EAVE 2008 graduate Oliver Neumann and EAVE 1994 graduate and Austrian National Coordinator Erich Lackner is competing in the section Zabaltegi - New Directors in San Sebastian
- LES NEIGES DU KILIMANDJARO by Robert Guediguian, producer EAVE group leader Patrick Sobelman has been selected as one of the three European feature films that will compete in this year`s edition of the Lux Prize of the European Parliament. The LUX Prize 2011 Official Selection also included ESSENTIAL KILLING by Jerzy Skolimowski, co-producer EAVE 2009 graduate Ingrid Lill Hogtun and PINA by Wim Wenders, co-producer EAVE 2010 graduate Gian-Piero Ringel.
