9 films by EAVE producers supported by Eurimages
In Development / Pre-Production October 2014
At its 136th meeting held in October 2014 in Strasbourg, the Eurimages Fund decided to support 16 feature films and one documentary project. Among them are these films by EAVE graduates:
- ETERNITY by Tran Anh Hung, producer: EAVE 1992 graduate and Head of Studies Jani Thiltges
- DEW (ROSA) by Denijal Hasanovic, co-producer: EAVE 2008 graduate Amra Baksic-Camo
- HUMIDITY by Nikola Ljuca, producer: EAVE 1995 graduate Léontine Petit, EAVE 2013 graduate Natasa Damnjanovic
- TARZAN’S TESTICLES by Alexandru Solomon, producer: EAVE 2007 graduate & Romanian National Coordinator Ada Solomon and EAVE 2011 graduate Cedric Bonin
- THE BURGLAR by Hagar Ben Asher, producer: EAVE 2006 graduate Karsten Stöter
- THE FIRST THE LAST by Bouli Lanners, producer: EAVE 2000 graduate Jacques-Henri Bronckart
- THE HIGH SUN by Dalibor Matanic, producer: EAVE 2007 graduate Ankica Juric Tilic
- THE MIRACLE OF TEKIR by Ruxandra Zenide, producer: EAVE 2006 graduate Dan Burlac
- THE TREASURE by Corneliu Porumboiu, producer: EAVE 2008 graduate Marcela Ursu
- EAVE 1992 graduate and Italian National Coordinator Stefano Tealdi has currently several projects in development: IN THE BELLY OF THE CITY 2 - doc TV series, CHIEF WHITE ELK - feature archive and animation doc by Beppe Leonetti, THE STRANGE SOUND OF HAPPINESS - feature doc by Diego Pascal Panarello, GLADIATORS. A DIFFERENT WORLD - feature doc by Arunas Matelis, THE QUEEN OF SPADES - documentary musical by Agnieszka Zwiefka, and FOODMAKERS - doc TV series.
- I HATE BERLIN by Vali Hotea, producer: EAVE 2007 graduate & Romanian National Coordinator Ada Solomon is in development. The script of the dark comedy about indecision and the fear of taking responsibility centers on a middle-aged man caught between two women and two cities, Bucharest and Berlin. According to FNE no German producer is attached to the project yet. The budget is expected to be approximately 1.5 m EUR. I HATE BERLIN received a development grant from the Romanian Film Center.
Among the feature films funded by the Polish Film Institute in its October 2014 decision round are two films by EAVE graduates:
- THE MUTE by Bartek Konopka, producer: EAVE 2011 graduate Anna Wydra
- I AM LYING NOW by Pawel Borowski, producer: EAVE 2012 graduate Lukasz Dzieciol
The Swedish Film Institute backs 12 new movies. Among them are the following projects by EAVE graduates:
- UNDER THE PYRAMIDE by Axel Petersen, producer: EAVE 2009 graduate Erika Wasserman
- GUERILLA by Anders Hazelius, producer: EAVE 2009 graduate Lizette Jonjic
- BALLON by Lisa Ohlin, producer: EAVE 2000 graduate Peter Hiltunen
- IN DER MITTE DES FLUSSES by Damian John Harper, producer: EAVE 2012 graduate Jonas Weydemann received production funding from the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung MDM.
