Raymond van der Kaaij is an experienced media industry executive with over ten years of experience in development, financing, production and distribution and general management. He is the founder of Revolver Amsterdam; an award winning production company focused on feature films, documentaries, mixed media and branded content. As a producer and co-producer, Raymond has worked on award winning feature films and documentaries that where shown on festivals worldwide. In 2018, two documentaries premiered at Sheffield Film Festival: BRUCE LEE & THE OUTLAW by Joost Vandebrug has since then screened at dozens of other festivals, including Busan Filmfestival where it received the Cinephile Award for Best Documentary. It was awarded Best Film and an Audience Award at Icedocs, the Debut Competition Award of the Dutch Film Festival and many others. TOO BEAUTFUL, OUR RIGHT TO FIGHT by Maceo Frost screened at Warsaw Filmfestival, Havana Film Festival and many others. Recent fiction films include I DREAM IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE by Ernesto Contreras (Audience Award in Sundance 2017), DON\'T SWALLOW MY HEART, ALLIGATOR GIRL! by Felipe Bragaca (Sundance 2017, Berlinale 2017), LOVE & FRIENDSHIP by Whit Stillman starring Kate Beckingsale and Cloe Sevigny (Sundance 2016), BODKIN RAS (IFFR 2016, SXSW 2016, Fipresci Award 2016) by Kaweh Modiri, SUPERNOVA by Tamar van den Dop (Berlinale 2014, Chicago IFF, Grand Prix Xining International Filmfestival, Royal Bengal Tiger Award, Kolkata IFF), THEY HAVE ESCAPED by Jukka-Pekka Valkeapaa (Worldpremiere TIFF 2014, Venice Days 2014), DRIFT by Benny Vandendriessche (Busan 2013), CLUB ZEUS by David Verbeek (Montreal World Film Festival, IFF Chicago, International Filmfestival Rotterdam), 22MAY by Koen Mortier (IFF Toronto, IFF Rotterdam , IFF Istanbul), ‘CRIPS, STRAPPED’N’STRONG by Joost van der Valk (IFF Locarno). Next to film and documentaries, Raymond has been involved as executive or creative producer in numerous commercials, branded video campaigns and VR projects.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
