Beyond Borders 2010

Training and project development workshop bringing together producers from Africa and Europe to work on the development of fiction and documentary projects.

June 24-July 4, 2010 in Djerba, Tunisia

A workshop for creative producers from Europe and Africa (including Maghreb)

Beyond Borders is a concerted training programme for creative producers from Europe and Africa including the Maghreb on an equal footing and in a spirit of mutual benefit. It is an initiative between the Huston School of Film & Digital Media (Galway, Ireland) and Sud Ecriture (Tunisia), in partnership with EAVE (Luxemburg), Imagine (Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso) and the CNC (National Centre of Cinematography – France). Beyond Borders is supported by MEDIA International.

It aims to support participants in developing a better understanding of a fast-changing market, strengthening the long-term production structures in their countries, creating new opportunities for exchange between European and African professionals as well as highlighting the role of international co-production.

Please note that the working language is English and French.
