A New Chapter Begins: Meet the 2025 EAVE Producers Workshop Participants!

press release

As we bid farewell to yet another amazing year, it is with great joy that we introduce next year’s cohort for the EAVE Producers Workshop!

We welcome the 56 producers and professionals from 38 countries (see complete list below) that have been selected out of 304 applications from 65 countries to EAVE!

As part of the selection process, EAVE Head of Studies Lise Lense-Møller interviewed around 110 professionals from very different contexts and with very different visions, missions, and perspectives.

As she puts it, this procedure “…allows us to take the pulse of today’s industry and get a hint of tomorrow's landscape for content producers and IP creators.”

“The industry is in major transition, still recovering from COVID, with widespread uncertainty fueled by global conflicts, political upheaval, and collapsing business models yet to be replaced.

Still, the will and skill to try out new financing models, new company structures or clusters is enormously inspiring, as is the creativity when it comes to finding and adapting to new ways of producing – e.g. with the possibilities that AI has opened.

Producers are also finding new sources of finance and income and have a renewed awareness of the potential of multi-format exploitation of concepts or content.

One of the great advantages of bringing so many producers together is that, as a group, they represent a lot of different experiences, ideas, and inspiration – sometimes from unrelated, but still very relevant backgrounds.

We tailor and constantly adapt the workshop to draw on this vast potential, while at the same time attempting to keep the best possible balance between the expertise acquired over years of practice and the will to meet the moment and embrace future changes. One of our goals is to make producers resilient in times of change.”

We are particularly grateful for the generous support of our 2025 scholarship partners:

  • The French CNC supports the participation of 3 international producers at the EAVE Producers Workshop, namely Jiries Copti (Palestine), Milad Khosravi (Iran) and Evodie Ngueyeli N. (Cameroon).
  • Thanks to German regional fund MDM, Albanian producer Blerina Hankollari and Serbian producer Marija Lero will develop their skills at the EAVE 2025 course.
  • PACT is offering a scholarship to one UK producer (Emilie Jouffroy) in the name and memory of EAVE expert Dorothy Viljoen.
  • Our partnerships with Telefilm Canada and SODEC made it possible for two producers from Canada (Sonya di Rienzo and Line Sander Egede) to attend the programme.
  • The support of Projeto Paradiso was granted to Leonardo Mecchi from Brazil.
  • Thanks to our collaboration with the Film Centre of Montenegro, Milena Charan will participate in the programme.
  • The Italian regional fund Fondo Audiovisivo Friuli Venezia Giulia supports the participation of Maria Kontogianni from Greece and Julia Sinkevych from Ukraine

In addition to those, a number of scholarships have been allocated by EAVE, including an EAVE diversity scholarship for European participants who identify as black, indigenous or people of colour. Additional EAVE scholarships were given in priority to participants from European low production capacity countries.

We would like to thank our partners, consultants, pedagogical team, and all the members of the EAVE family for their precious support and wish you all a peaceful holiday season and a good start into the New Year!

Happy Holidays!
