While she was studying Film Production and Media at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade, Snezana Penev was already involved as an assistant producer and production manager on a number of high profile Serbian feature films. She was Assistant Producer on the most expensive Serbian film in history “St. George Shoots the Dragon”. Based on that experience she branched out being a Line Producer on the feature film “Travelator” mainly shot in Las Vegas. As a producer of the film “Who Guards the Guardians”, she shared 9 international awards. Since completing her studies, she has produced two internationally acclaimed feature films: \"Here and There\" (2009) directed by Darko Lungulov (awarded at Tribeca film festival) and Arielle Javitch\'s debut \"Look, Stranger\" starring Anamaria Marinca (2010) (world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival). Snezana has won the EAVE Scholarship, awarded by the co-production market Cinelink at the 16th Sarajevo Film Festival 2010. Currently she is producting “The Battery Man” (Best Pitch at IDFA) with directors Dusan Saponja and Dusan Cavic), developing “In The Dark” (Greenhouse development program) with director Goran Stankovic and \"Monument\" with director Darko Lungulov. For the production of the film “Monument” Snezana and Darko Lungulov have established a joined company “Papa Films” in 2009.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away on March 3. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
