Biography
Petri Kemppinen is a seasoned expert in financing, production and development with nearly 30 years of experience in journalism, publishing, and the audiovisual sector. He currently works through his own company Good Hand Production. Previously, he has been CEO of Aurora Studios, Senior Advisor at the Finnish Impact Film Fund, CEO of Nordisk Film & TV Fond and held roles at the Finnish Film Foundation, YLE, and Helsingin Sanomat. Petri has financed over 150 films and 50 TV drama series, including Palme d’Or winner “The Square” and film festival darlings like “The Border”, “The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki”, “Woman at War”, “Queen of Hearts”, “Worst Person in the World” and renowned TV dramas like Cry Wolf, Paradise, Trapped, Occupied and The Thin Blue Line. He has been a Finnish member of Eurimages’ Board of Management, board member at the Swedish Film Institute and the European Women´s Audiovisual Network.He is also a member of the European Film Academy
