Biography

Caitlin is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University's Film Studies program. Her first feature film, FIRECRACKERS, was produced through Telefilm's Talent to Watch program. Premiering at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, where she received the CMPA’s Kevin Tierney Emerging Producer Award, FIRECRACKERS went on to screen at over 30 festivals worldwide and win multiple awards, including two Canadian Screen Awards and Best Film and Best Actress at the 2019 Stockholm Film Festival. The film was released theatrically in Canada and the USA to rave reviews from publications including Variety and LA Times and was a New York Times Critics’ Pick. Caitlin is currently the Head of Development at Conquering Lion Pictures, led by partners Damon D’Oliveira and Clement Virgo. She was an Associate Producer on their feature film BROTHER, which premiered at TIFF 2022 and won two NAACP Awards for Best Independent Film and Best International Film. Most recently, Caitlin produced Jasmin Mozaffari’s short film MOTHERLAND, which won the Short Cuts Award for Best Canadian Short Film when it premiered at TIFF 2023 and was nominated for two Canadian Screen Awards.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
