Biography

Alžběta Janáčková is a film and television producer and co-founder of Silk Films, a Prague-based production company focused on contemporary, author-driven stories with strong European potential. She is currently developing and producing several feature films, including Get Lucky (dir. Michal Hogenauer), Heavy Souls (dir. Tomáš Mašín), and Swaps (dir.Gjorce Stavreski). Her recent work includes Chica Checa (dir. Šimon Holý), the television series Dad in Troubles, and the documentary series Rapstory, exploring the rise of Czech hip-hop culture. Alžběta’s producing approach combines artistic ambition with narrative clarity and international collaboration. She aims to develop projects that bridge Central European perspectives with universal themes, bringing emotionally resonant and socially relevant stories to both local and international audiences.
