Biography

Andreas Atzwanger was born in Austria in 1973 and currently lives and works in Munich, Germany. He has two decades of experience in the film business as a producer and managing director and is a graduate of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg (Germany) and the University of California LA Extension. He has also gained experience in the field of international film financing while working as an administrator for the film fund EURIMAGES in 2005. In 2008, he was able to produce his first project in the Middle East (Lebanon), Promenade by Sabine El Chamaa, that was screened at the Berlinale and Dubai IFF in 2009. Other projects include internationally co-produced documentary features Jane’s Journey (2010), Where are you, Joao Gilberto? (2018) as well as European feature films Treasure Knights (2012) and Clara and the Secret of the Bears (2013). Andreas Atzwanger is a cofounder of Munich based NEOS Film GmbH & Co. KG. He currently works for Wiedemann & Berg Film GmbH & Co. KG (Munich) as commercial manager.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
