Biography

Anne Laurila (Bachelor of Arts) founded her own production company, Vaski Filmi Ltd, in 2002. As a CEO and a producer in the company, she worked with various documentary productions, but also carried on her Master of Science studies at the University of Oulu (2003-2005). After domestic documentary releases YOUR SUPPORT (2006) and HOLY FATHER (2007), she started to build up her international networks among the film industry and graduated from Twelve for the Future and EAVE (2004) training programs. In 2006 she joined in POEM Foundation, a regional resource center for audiovisual industry, as a production adviser. Since then, she has been involved with various feature films, documentaries and short films in script, development, financing and production phases. Since 2008 she has focused on company development within audiovisual industry aiming to build up more sustainable business with resources provided by an Interreg-project called FilmArc. Since then, her involvement has expanded into game, format and service businesses and today she is working as a head of development in POEM Foundation. She is the head of studies for all training activities supported and carried out by POEM as well as being in key role for building up the international relations, especially to Asian markets. Since October 2006 she has been the representative of POEM foundation at CINE-REGIO, the largest network of regional funds in Europe.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
