Biography

Has been a dedicated documentarist since I made my first documentary – now hidden for the public in my cellar – in 1977. Most of the 80’s I worked with distribution and theatrical release of documentaries. Attended script writing at the Danish Film School in 88. Freelance Producer up through the 90’s. Made a desk-cross-over from 1998-2002, where I worked as Production Adviser at The Danish Film Institute. EAVE Graduate 1999. From 2002 - 2008 co-owner and producer at Final Cut Productions in Copenhagen where I have produced a number of international documentaries. Board member of EDN – European Documentary Network – 2005-09, in 2008-09 as Chairman. From January 2011, Head of Studies of EDN. European Documentary Network EDN - European Documentary Network is a global network for professionals working with documentary film and TV. Since EDN was founded in 1996 now more than a 1000 members from more than 60 countries have joined EDN. The organisation is open for both newcomers and established filmmakers. EDN provides documentary consulting and informs about possibilities for funding, financing, development, co-production, distribution and collaboration across borders. This is done via individual consultancy to members on documentary projects, activities like workshops, seminars and conferences as well as through the two indispensable publications The EDN Financing Guide and The EDN Co-production Guide. EDN organises, co-organises or attends over 50 events each year. Among others CROSSING BORDERS, DocsBarcelona, LisbonDocs, Docs in Thessaloniki, Documentary in Europe, MIPTV, The Baltic Sea Forum, the FORUM at IDFA, Below Zero, Berlinale/European Film Market, Hot Docs Forum, Sunny Side of the Docs, Twelve for the Future & MIPDoc.
