Biography

Tatiana Leite was a film programmer at the Festival do Rio (Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival) from 2000 till 2009. She was part of the selection committee of the Rio and the São Paulo Short Film Festivals. In 2010 she became the International Adviser of the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Culture. She curated and produced several film seasons and retrospectives in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Brasília and London, such as Ozu’s Complete Retrospective, and several other Asian film seasons. In the end of 2012 Tatiana created the independent production company Bubbles Project, which is involved in coproduction and discovering new talents in Brazil and abroad. Since that, she attended the workshop PUENTES by EAVE, the Cinemart in Rotterdam, La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde in Cannes, the Locarno Match Me, Cinemundi BH, the Boost NL, the Berlinale Talent, the Script Circle in Berlin, the Coproduction Market at Berlinale, the Miradas Doc, the When East Meets West and the Torino Film Lab. Her company has produced 15 feature films that were presented and awarded in festivals such as Berlin, Sundance, Locarno, San Sebastian, Busan, Jeonju, Hong Kong, Rotterdam, New Directors New Films etc. Among those the Golden Leopard, Rule 34, by Julia Murat, Loveling by Gustavo Pizzi and Puan by Maria Alché and Benjamin Naishtat. Tatiana is giving film consultancy for some workshops and Labs. She served as a mentor for the Full Circle Lab and First Cut Lab several times. She was an expert at Berlinale Talents 2018. Since 2018 she has been an expert for Puentes Italia - EAVE. She is also a mentor at the BRLab and the Locarno Open Doors since 2021 and a reader for different European funds and international coproduction markets. She served as Jury member for various festivals abroad and in Brazil, namely for the Rotterdam Film Festival 2022, Guanajuato Film Festival 2021, Chicago International Film Festival 2019, CPH Festival in Copenhagen 2018, the Rio International Film Festival 2019, and the Rio International short Film Festival 2018. In 2024 she became a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
