Biography

Armine Anda has started her career in theatre&TV;. Having lead roles in theatre, she made a TV show for children telling her stories. A short animation BOJO by Mikayel Vatinyan, co-written&produced; by her and HOSHKEE FILM founded by her, participated in many festivals receiving awards in and outside Armenia. JOAN AND THE VOICES by Mikayel Vatinyan, co-written&produced; by her, received a GIFFF&PPP; Project Award in Busan IFF in 2007. It was the first Armenian project to participate in PPP (now APM) and to be developed within EAVE (2009). JOAN AND THE VOICES had its World Premiere in the official competition of Busan IFF, participated in many festivals afterwards. Armine Anda has lead roles in the Armenian&foreign; short&feature; films. She has 4 books published with her illustrations and a book award. “The Song of Flying Leaves”, the first animation she also directed (2023), an Armenia/Iran co-production, confirmed 80+ festivals with many Academy qualifying competitions among them. It received 17 awards, the Armenian National Film Academy “Anahit” Award for “Best Animated Film” among them. Armine Anda teaches CREATIVE PRODUCTION and ACTING TECHNIQUES at the American University of Armenia, gives workshops on Acting, Storytelling, Fantasy writing, Creativity and Pitching. She was a core member of the group that developed Armenian Law on Cinematography accepted in 2021.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
