EAVE sessions: AI & FILMMAKING at Amman Film Industry Days

July 3 – 4, 2025

Seasoned Finnish producer and EAVE expert Aleksi Hyvärinen led the EAVE-labelled workshop 'AI & FILMMAKING' at Amman Film Industry Days on how AI is reshaping the indie filmmaking landscape.

Presented by Nordic creative studio The Alchemist, and tailored for professional filmmakers with no or basic AI experience, this workshop skipped coding and tool mastery—instead, it was all about real-world insights, inspiring examples, and candid discussions around the creative and ethical challenges of AI.

A quick sneak peek at popular AI tools like Google Veo, Kling, and ChatGPT was presented, and how they’re already being used by filmmakers. Participants left with a grounded producer’s perspective on what’s next for their projects in this rapidly changing landscape.
